Since I go to school in a different state than where my family lives, I don't get to see them as much as I would like to.

My mom and I are close, which makes the distance hard. The last couple of years as a compensation, we've been traveling together whenever we both have some free time from work or school. I know what you are probably thinking? Traveling with just your mom sounds like it shouldn't be fun, but I promise it really is something cool.

My mom and I have very different personalities, she is very outgoing while I am shy and reserved. Sometimes our personalities can clash due to the contrast except when we travel that never happens. I love meeting new people and wandering around new places. My mom's talkative nature makes her always meet the coolest people. I cannot begin to describe all the people we've met on our travels and adventures. My mom is the life of the party and makes even the less glamorous parts of traveling such as having a delayed flight fun. She also finds the path less traveled and consistently plans the neatest activities and touristy things to do. And as I've gotten older I very much valuable and enjoy spending time with my mom and making memories with her. We both have similar interests and will be happy sitting on a beach or exploring more artsy places or attractions. We are both guaranteed to have a good time when traveling together.

As spring break is approaching, I'm so thrilled to be able to start planning another trip with my mom. Who knows where we will end up going, who we will meet, and what we will explore. One thing is for sure; we will have a blast experiencing new adventures and making everyday count!

I thought senioritis in high school was rough until I became a college senior about to go into the real world. I'm supposed to have everything figured out, right? I mean I went through four years of tough classes and serious self-searching (and crying). What I found overall was Senioritis sneaking up on me.

It takes a little while to get used to not seeing your high school best friends every day. Going away to college causes a lot of changes, but one thing that will never change is my love for my high school BFFs, and the texts that I get from them. Here are just 8 of the texts I get from them on the weekly:

College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
