"Traveling - it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller." - Ibn Battuta

I am just going to throw it out there that I LOVE TO TRAVEL. Ever since I was about 9, traveling was always a part of my life. I went to places I've never been, and then went back again. I've been to New Orleans twice, Mississippi twice, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Florida, Tennessee, South Carolina, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, and Las Vegas. But yet, I still need more. I still feel the urgent need to get on a plane and fly to a place i've never been. I feel that traveling gives you so much happiness, peace, and stories to tell. Traveling is really awesome and I can't get enough of it.

Since I started traveling I decided I wanted to start a collection and bring something home from every state. So, I started my very own shot glass collection. My collection consists of over 30 glasses, all from different states I have been to. I always manage to get the coolest shot glasses I can find that kind of tell a story inside the glass to show people who have never been what it is like. Collecting shot glasses has been the most fun I've ever had because I get to pick the ones I like the most and add them to my collection. When traveling I suggest starting your own collection. Instead of just having pictures from the states you've been to, bring back objects too! You won't regret it I promise.

When you collect something from different places you’ve been, it is so much fun! It gives you fun stories to tell, and cool objects to look at. We have magnets, shot glasses, t-shirts, hats, keychains, and anything else we could possibly find to bring back with us, without going over the weight limit for our bags in a flight or making it to where we had no where to sit in the car. Traveling is just so Relaxing.

Now, I know that it is super hot, and that makes you not want to go outside because you don't want to sweat right? Next time you decide you don't want to get out in the heat, just go buy one of those HUGE bottles of water that's like 1.5 Liters or maybe even bigger, grab a hand held fan from the store and just get out and enjoy how beautiful it is! If you have young kids, take them to cool places! Get out and see the adventures life has to offer! Traveling is such a perfect way to relieve stress and just lay back and relax. It's the perfect way to eat a foreign food you may not try at home, like Alligator, because let's face it, that stuff is delicious. I really hope all of you decide to just get out and travel, pack a suitcase, or two and book a plane ticket. Go to Hawaii, Belize, The Bahamas, Jamaica, or even Mexico. Lay on the beach or lay by the pool. Take a break from work and busy life, to just relax and take some time to yourself! Live like you are dying because you never know when the last day you get on earth could be.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
