Exploring new places is lots of fun, but getting there isn't always a quick and easy ride. While flying can be fun, it can also be incredibly chaotic and stressful. As we enter the Holiday season, more and more people will be choosing airplanes as their mode of transportation home to visit and spend time with their loved ones. You may be able to avoid air travel altogether, but if you do find yourself at an airport or on a plane, here are so practical traveling reminders and quotes that will help ease your experience!

1. Patience is a virtue.

I know I know, patience can be HARD- especially when the lines to check baggage seem to be unreasonably long. Remember that other people are probably just as frustrated as you are.

2. Skip the lines--print that mobile boarding pass.

Since the age of technology, airlines around the world have finally gotten with the program by offering mobile passes. No more waiting in long lines simply to print out your boarding pass. Download it directly to your IPhone or Android after you check-in for your flight online. Trust me, your life will be so much easier.

3. Layer up

It never fails that airports and airplanes, in general, are always a little bit colder than you like. If you are lucky enough to get a window seat this time of year, bundle up in layers because you are bound to be a bit chilly. Packing a scarf with you, no matter the destination, will ensure that your nose doesn't turn bright Rudolph red.

4. Pack accordingly

Check the weather for your intended destination and plan accordingly. There's no reason you should spend time (and probably money) waiting in long lines to check bags. If you are only staying for a few days, pack only carry-on luggage. Most airlines allow you two carry on bags, so if there isn't a need for a large suitcase, SKIP IT!

5. Roll, roll, roll those clothes!

If you absolutely must pack a large suitcase, practice and perfect this travel tip! Rolling your clothes properly will ensure wrinkle free, mess free clothing PLUS twice the space. Pack wisely and you'll be able to fit your whole family's holiday wardrobe in just a couple of suitcases, which saves a ton of time and money (unless you're flying Southwest).

6. Buy some headphones.

No matter the airline, seat position or length of flight- there will be lots of noises. If you don't appreciate crying babies, snoring passengers or flight attendants talking to you, then a pair of headphones are an absolute essential to surviving a plane ride. Not to mention that these come in handy when a stranger wants to know every detail of your life (unless you are like me are the one talking). Block out the haters, sit back and enjoy the ride.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
