As a decently well-versed traveler for my age, I constantly find myself procrastinating my schoolwork with more important things — non-existent trips. I love researching, planning and putting new types of trips together. The world is home to so many different travel destinations — whether it's a historical city, or a sprawling beach, here are some beautiful travel destinations you need to incorporate into your next trip:

1. Dinan, France

A historical city in Northwest France, Dinan is loaded with castles, museums and history, and merchants have taken place in the city for more than 700 years. It actually escaped the bombings of the Second World War. Dinan has many traditional French restaurants along the river.

2. Blagaj, Bosnia and Herzegovina

This is where history meets beauty; it's where beautiful monastery lies beneath a cliff next to a natural waterfall. Restaurants line the river that runs through, with beautiful views. There's also a boat ride that takes tourists and locals alike to see the monastery, while stopping at other scenic spots along the way.

3. The Magical Halle Forest, Belgium

This magical forest is covered with Bluebell flowers, and sometimes has a slight fog. I think the picture does all of the work -- how beautiful.

4. The Canola Flower Fields in China

Only available for certain times of the year, the Canola Flower Fields in China can make for a beautiful sight. You can literally see the flowers for miles. They're even referred to as a "golden sea."

5. Anguilla, Caribbean

The beaches in Anguilla stretch miles. Out of all of the islands in the Caribbean, why is Anguilla the perfect one? The beaches are lined with authentic local bars for the most traditional Caribbean experience. You can rock climb, and view other islands from just one. Water sports are one of the most popular activities on the island.

6. Hocking Hills State Park, Ohio

Hocking Hills State Park is made up of unique, beautiful rock formations and waterfalls. The park is nearly 3,500 acres -- perfect for an avid hiker. You can hunt, fish and picnic. There are even water recreation activities. The best part? You can go explore the park for free.

7. Ischia, Italy

Ischia is a small, volcanic island off of Naples. There's a beach with hot springs, the Argonese medieval castle and museums. Admission to activities is also very affordable.

8. Meissen, Germany

Meissen is a small German town with a population of about 30,000. The history is extensive, with a castle being the main focal point of the town. There are markets with traditional German food and knick-knacks.

9. Koh Lipe, Thailand

Koh Lipe is a small island near Malaysia's border. It has waters filled with coral reefs. There are resorts, and bungalows available for stay. There are a large number of sandy beaches that can accommodate many different types of travelers: relaxed, outgoing, etc.

10. Cinque Terre, Italy

Last but certainly not least: Cinque Terre, Italy. Though you may have seen this picture on Pinterest, you may not know anything about this series of magical cities. Cinque Terre literally means "five cities" in Italian. You can pay as little as 10 euros to travel between all five cities — each with its own special Italian flare. In each of the colorful towns, the Mediterranean Sea flows, vineyards are everywhere, little shops line the streets and every inlet is filled with little fishing boats.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
