Having been to 6 out of the 7 continents at such an early age, I am so fortunate. These below are not all the places I've been, but they are the ones that stand out the most! First, I wanted to thank my parents, as well as support and motivation from my friends, and second, please enjoy my little 'travel blog'!

Location: Tanzania

Cities visited: Arusha, Zanzibar, Serengeti National Park, Dar es Salaam

Favorite Memories: Our jeep driver drove us into a flowing river, thinking we could get through it... we didn't. Hunted with one of the last hunter and gatherer tribes in Tanzania. The bugs...

Fun Fact: The stone Tanzanite comes from here!


Location: Australia

Cities visited: Sydney, Cairns, Tasmania, Alice Springs

Favorite Memory: Tasting crocodile and kangerroo for the first time!

Fun Fact: It is a country, as well as a continent!


Location: Egypt

Cities visited: Cairo, Alexandria

Favorite Memory: Obviously visiting the PYRIMADS!

Fun Fact: The Sphinx is a lot smaller than I thought!


Location: Brazil

Cities visited: Rio de Janiero

Favorite Memory: New Years Eve in rio!

Fun Fact: Everyone wears white on New Years in Brazil to represent peace for the next year!


Location: Greece

Cities visited: Athens, Santorini, Crete

Favorite Memory: Smashing grapes to make wine and riding up stairs in Santorini on donkies!

Fun Fact: Greece has more archaeological museums than any other country in the world!

Location: Turkey

Cities visited: Istanbul, Cappadocia

Favorite Memory: Cave exploring in Cappadocia!

Fun Fact: Istanbul's Grand Bazaar has 64 streets, 4000 shops and 25,000 workers!


Location: South Africa

Cities visited: Cape Town, Johannesburg, Kruger National Park

Favorite Memory: Playing with the elephants, the safaries, and teaching little kids english!

Fun Fact: South Africa’s drinking water is rated 3rd best in the world for being safe and ready to drink!


Location: Spain

Cities visited: Barcelona, Seville, Granada, Madrid

Favorite Memory: Being in Madrid when Real and Atletico played eachother, seeing a bull fight, and visiting Camp Nou!

Fun Fact: Spain produces 45% of all olive oil in the world!


Location: Argentina

Cities visited: Buenos Aires

Favorite Memory: Staying with my first ever homestay!

Fun Fact: Messi is a God.


Location: France

Cities visited: Paris, Nice

Favorite Memory: Studying journalism in Paris, and coming to the conclusion that Parisians are nicer to female tourists than they are to male tourists.

Fun Fact: There is only one stop sign in all of Paris!


Location: Peru

Cities visited: Lima, Cusco

Favorite Memory: Getting to the top of Machu Picchu on a Tuesday while listening to Tuesday!

Fun Fact: Peru is the second largets producer of Cocaine.


Location: China

Cities visited: Beijing, Shanghai, Yunnan

Favorite Memory: Teaching little kids english as well as taking the slide down the Great Wall of China!

Fun Fact: There is a slide on the Great Wall of China!?! *still shocked

Favorite Memory: Going to an English pub!

Fun Fact: You will meet people here, and still not be able to understand them!!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
