What Every Trainer Thinks About While Playing Pokemon Go...As Told By Pokemon
Pokemon Go/Ilyssa Weiner

Since "Pokemon Go's" release on July 6th, the world has gone immensely nuts over the game. People are out and about looking for Pikachus, Charmanders, and Squirtles galore. Quickly, the augmented reality app has become the most popular app of all time. It seems people are spending more time trying to catch Pokemon than texting or using social media. In fact, there have already been incidents such as car accidents, people falling off cliffs, and even finding dead bodies. Who knew one little app could cause so much hysteria and mishap?

Despite the trouble the app can cause us (especially when the server goes down), we just can't seem to get enough of the game. From the first capture to becoming the most powerful trainer in your hometown, here's what every trainer thinks about when they play Pokemon Go.

1. The happy feeling you get when you catch your first Pokemon.

2. "Wait, I have to actually WALK to find more Pokemon?"

3. "Ugh. Why is there no WiFi here?"

4. "Let's just hope I don't get hit by a car while I'm walking."

5. "Oh my gosh! It's -insert Pokemon here-, my favorite Pokemon! I need to catch it!"

6. "Hold on! I need to take a photo of -insert Pokemon here- at this inconvenient location."

7. "Why is this Pokemon so hard to catch?" -throws a million Pokeballs at the Pokemon-

8. "I'm out of Pokeballs already!?!?"

9. "Since when did this place become a Gym/Pokestop?"

10. When you have to wait five more minutes to get items from a Pokestop.

11. When your favorite place in town is a Gym or Pokestop.

12. "How much longer until this egg hatches?"

13. "Finally! I have enough candies to evolve -insert Pokemon here-"

14. "Wait...I need 50 more candies to evolve -insert Pokemon here-? Ugh!!!"

15. "Why are there so many Zubats/Rattatas/Caterpies/Weedles?"

16. "Finally! My first gym!"

17. "Hmmm...I'll go with Team Valor/Team Mystic/Team Instinct."

18. "How do you battle on this thing? Do I just keep tapping and hope something happens?"

19. "Awww man, I lost...."

20. When you win the battle...and own the gym.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
