Disney dropped the first teaser trailer for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" that will be released in December and fans are so pumped. They are happy to see the famous Mark Hamill come back to play his role as Luke Skywalker. The special effects, music and presentation gives the fans exactly what they need to be excited about the movie.
In the trailer, you hear Luke teaching Rei (Daisy Ridley) the ways of the force. Then there's a montage of Rei practicing her life saber skills and new starships creating chaos along with beloved characters from the last movie. That includes Finn (John Boyega) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Issac). Not to mention, there's a sneak peek of a lightsaber fight between Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Rei. The music hits all the nostalgia factors and is beautifully synchronized with the movie.
Carrie Fisher will return as Princess Leia for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." However, it was officially announced by Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy, that Carrie Fisher won't be reappearing in Episode IX due to her passing in December last year.
A new character emerges after director Rain Johnson tells fans at Friday's Last Jedi Panel at the Star Wars Celebration. Kelly Marie Tran will play a maintenance worker named Rose and will have "the biggest new part in the movie." Johnson assured fans that "she is not a soldier [or] looking to be a hero, but she gets pulled into a very big adventure with Finn."
Saturday, the new "Star Wars Battlefront" video game was announced along with its own trailer and been set to release on November 17. This particular game is set between the events of "Return of the Jedi" and "The Force Awakens." The single-player story is uniquely presented through the eyes of Iden, an elite Stormtrooper for the Empire. The game also features iconic, lovable characters and villains from all the eras to play in the multiplayer section.
The special effects are of course look amazing that it looks like a movie rather than a video game. The gameplay is promised to be as much fun and exciting as the first "Star Wars Battlefront."
