On Friday, June 10th ‘The Voice’ Contestant Christina Grimmie, 22, was fatally shot in the head by gunman Kevin James Loibl, 27.

After a show in Orlando at the Plaza Live with band Before You Exit, eyewitnesses said whilst talking to and meeting fans, Grimmie was approached by Loibl for a hug who then opened fire. Grimmie’s brother, Marcus Grimmie then immediately tackled the suspect, Liobl, who then shot himself.

A police officer, John Mina, said they have not yet found a motive but the man was likely to be deranged fan. He also stated how Loibl made a two-hour trip from St. Petersburg to Orlando and was armed with two handguns and a knife.

One witness at the concert, Destiny Rivera, who stood in line behind Liobl told DailyMail that "he seemed nervous" and kept "looking and moving" around and that he "looked kind of creepy." She also told DailyMail how she arrived late to the concert with her friends and they "were waved through security without being patted down or having their bags searched."

There has been an out-pour of support from celebrities such as Nick Jonas, Adam Levine, and Demi Lovato and fans all across the world mourning the death of this young, talented singer; many taking to social media the hashtag #RIPChristina. Actress and singer Selena Gomez, who met Grimmie through her stepdad, took to her Twitter and wrote: "My heart is absolutely broken. I miss you Christina."

There has also been a GoFundMe account created for the star by her family, that has already exceeded its original goal of $4,000.

With over millions of subscribers and views on her YouTube, zeldaxlove64, Grimmie has over a hundred videos and covers that remind us of her beautiful voice and soul.

This was such a tragic and senseless death, and may she truly rest in peace. She will be greatly missed by many and my thoughts and condolences go out to her family.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
