It's been a whirlwind of a month for Arianators.

This past month, singer Ariana Grande got into position and released her sixth studio album "positions" on Friday, October 30. The announcement of her new album was just announced shy two weeks ago, with the lead title single was released nearly three weeks ago. Fans now have an album, giving them a short amount of time to mentally prepare for the album.

Here is a track by track review of Grande's album, "positions".

"shut up"

Fans of Grande who have been there from the beginning might have gotten "Honeymoon Avenue" vibes from the track, with the string instrumental in the background.

Favorite lyric - "All them demons helped me see shit differently // So don't be sad for me"

"34+35"

I too, was never good at math, but you don't need to understand math that well to understand the meaning of this song. Grande is direct with what she wants.

Favorite lyric - "Means I wanna sixty-nine with ya (no shit) // (Math class, never was good)"

"motive (feat. Doja Cat)"

We've all been there, falling for someone but being cautious because we're not sure of what their true intentions are just yet. Doja Cat's feature was *chef's kiss*.

Favorite lyric - "Might have to curve you if you just can't talk straight (Just say) // Say what you mean 'cause you might get it"

"just like magic"

If manifestation had a theme song, it would be this.

Favorite lyric - "Good karma, my aesthetic (Aesthetic) // Keep my conscience clear, that's why I'm so magnetic"

"off the table (feat. The Weeknd)"

This wasn't Grande's first collaboration with The Weeknd, their first collaboration being "Love Me Harder" from her "My Everything" album. The slow ballad has Grande and The Weeknd reminisce about previous relationships and their influence on the possibility of future ones.

Favorite lyric - "If I can't have you, is love completely off the table? // Do I sit this one out and wait for the next life? (Next life)"

"six thirty"

This upbeat track has been stuck in my head every time I watch the time change to 6:30.

Favorite lyric - "I'm the release, you the dopamine"

"safety net (feat. Ty Dolla $ign)"

Two words - whistle tones.

Favorite lyric - "I came to peace with my path // Now you got me off track"

"my hair"

This isn't the first time Grande has made a reference to her infamous ponytail. Rather than singing about it in a cheeky way as she did in "7 rings," Grande makes a reference to her hair in a more vulnerable way.

Favorite lyric - "So run your hands through my hair // Baby, 'cause that's why it's there"

"nasty"

Ariana really said, "Like this p*ssy designed for ya (Yeah)"

Favorite lyric - "You're like a whole constellation (Yeah) // Swimming like you on vacation (Yeah)"

"west side"

Tbh, I'll meet Grande anywhere if I had the chance to. In this instance, she wants her love to meet her wherever she is, both physically and metaphorically.

Favorite lyric - "Hold up, there shouldn't be no hold up // There's more love if you follow emotions"

"love language"

We all have our own love languages; my personal love language is if someone brings me fast food. In this song, Grande brings up that if her lover keeps speaking her love language, then he can stay.

Favorite lyric - "Baby, pardon my French, but could you speak in tongues?"

"positions"

Grande takes the lead with "positions". It's 2020 - women can be the president and be a leader in the kitchen. Period.

Favorite lyric - "I'm in the Olympics way I'm jumping through hoops // Know my love infinite nothing I wouldn't do"

"obvious"

This song has restored my faith in love.

Favorite lyric - "Don't put the bands, put the bands on me"

"pov"

I melted into a puddle after listening to this song. It's a new take on love: self-love and love with a partner. We want to see ourselves the way in the way that our lover sees us.

Favorite lyric - "You got more than 20/20, babe // Made of glass, the way you see through me"

"positions" feels like the grown-up version of "Yours Truly," with cautious love letters reminiscent of songs like "Tattooed Heart," but with the unapologetically that comes from "thank u, next". Without everything Grande has gone through the past few years, she couldn't have reached the growth she is proud to sing about now. To put it simply, she has taken on a new "position" in her life, as a woman capable of anything.

"positions" album is available to stream on various platforms.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
