I've been a fan of the country singer Maren Morris for a long time now. Ever since I heard her breakout song, "My Church," I knew she would be a star. Her music is a breath of fresh air that's easy listening at its finest. Here is a track-by-track review of her debut album.

1. "Sugar"

"Sugar," the first song on the album, is an ode to all the exciting and great things life has to offer. Your "sugar" specifically refers to the special person in your life.

2. "Rich"

This song makes me long for a beach day, enjoying a nice drink, from the luxury of a yacht, if I'm lucky. Okay, maybe that last part will never happen. Yet Maren Morris makes it easy to envision this far-fetched dream as a possibility.

3. "My Church"

Maren Morris' first single, "My Church" is a soul-rising, gospel-influenced tune. Morris describes listening to country greats like Hank Williams and Johnny Cash as her form of church. It was a great first single for her to introduce her sound to the world.

4. "I Could Use a Love Song"

One of my favorites off the album, this beautiful song reminds us that we all deserve true romance, the kind you see in the movies. I'm still waiting for my very own John Cusack to stand outside my bedroom window with a boom box. In the meantime, I'll keep wishing and continuing to listen to this song.

5. "80s Mercedes"

This is definitely one of the more uptempo songs off the album. For any 90s babies out there, it's easy to relate to this song which references a lot of things from both the 80s and 90s. You'll be wanting to jump in the car with your friends and cruise around to this song.

6. "Drunk Girls Don't Cry"

"Drunk Girls Don't Cry" is the anthem that all women need! Morris gives us all the extra push we need to finally cut ties with the bad boyfriend who has disappointed us way too many times. Listen to this song when you need that positive boost!

7. "How It's Done"

This slow and smooth song has some R&B influences and it makes you want to finally kiss that cute guy you've been crushing on. With lyrics like, "There is no need to be nervous, I know you been looking for love, so let me show you how it’s done," who could not be filled with courage to finally go talk to the love of your life?

8. "Just Another Thing"

"Just Another Thing" has a mix of some slow, bluesy notes as well as some upbeat soul that reminds me a lot of some of my favorite John Mayer hits. We have all had that person we know we should resist but just can't seem to forget about. Maren Morris perfectly describes that feeling.

9. "I Wish I Was"

This song showcases how supremely talented Maren Morris is. Her vocals are so strong and you can feel the emotion of the song oozing from her voice. "I Wish I Was" tells the story of wanting to be with someone so much but you both realize it just will never work, despite how much you love each other.

10. "Second Wind"

Okay, where was this song when I needed motivation during my high school days? It describes the feeling of rising above and proving you are better than anyone thought you could be. Some of my favorite lyrics from the song are, "Say what you want about me, your words are gasoline on my fire. You can hate me, underestimate me, do what you do cause what you do don't phase me."

11. "Once"

This is the perfect song to end Maren Morris's debut album, "Hero." The song makes you feel every emotion there is to feel. She sings, "If somehow we make it alive, and both get out on the other side, oh this might be asking a lot, when it's all said and done, don't forget that you loved me once." Talk about a tear-jerker!

Go listen to Maren Morris's album "Hero" and tell me in the comments which song is your favorite!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
