You Need To Get That Toxic Person Out Of Your Life

I've done it. But for me, it was too late.

You're in pain. You're confused. You feel nostalgic and hurt. How could a relationship (romantic, friendly, any type) go from being so fun and wonderful to being absolutely destructing? You thought you were in love, you thought you were best friends. Maybe you two weren't meant to be in each other's lives. Maybe the times weren't right. Maybe things got bad.

Either way, toxic people are toxic. Even if it's difficult and takes a toll on you, realizing this will make your life so much better, and give you what you deserve. Toxic people take away the treatment you should have and the happy way you should live.

Times may be hard, but nothing lasts forever. You may cry. You have every right to. Let your emotions out. Do what you need to do to make yourself content and healthy. Don't fight with people or create negativity, there is no need for harsh words or harm. But, if you need to distance yourself from them, do it. Do it before it's too late.

I have memories with them. They were in my life for over a year. It hurts. But I grew as a person. I bettered myself. I got out of the destruction. Some things I miss. Others I could go the rest of my life without ever wanting to think about again. Unfortunately, we all meet people who have the capacity to be toxic.

People come into your life and they leave it. There may be unknown reasons for them wading through your timeline, but they have left marks on your heart, whether they are patches or scars. Maybe you needed them at a certain time. Maybe they taught you something. Every single person you have had a relationship with will affect your life in some way, even if small, because they were indeed in it, and walked the same path as you once before.

Acceptance of letting go of toxic people is hard, but you can do it. Know your worth and be strong. It is best for them too. You'll never forget them, but allow them to be a memory. Let them live their happiest life while you live yours too.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
