Days are tough, they are not always bad. A day in itself, its cycle of sunrise to sunset and its wonders, make everyday a valued one, never a bad one. The “bad” days that I spoke of in part I are more so challenging, difficult, they are tough.
I had hoped by the time I wrote the second part to this small collection of tough day advice that I would know the cure and happy ending to make everyone feel better. To my findings, having maybe known them before, I have no solid answer as to what to do with tough days.
Even having told myself that I will have tough days and being prepared in that sense, I still am taken aback when my attitude isn’t where I want it to be or my motivation to enjoy the day is completely absent.
Part of all this, as I ended the earlier article, is to learn for yourself what you need to do. For me, it is reminding myself that it is totally okay to not be up to par for a day, or two, or three. It is giving myself the time and patience to learn this.
If you have advice for tough days, I want to hear it. Sometimes what you need to hear most is from yourself, and sometimes, it’s from somebody else.
From a quick search for advice on Google, I got a great response to my quest for some answers.
On his own blog, Marc Chernoff reminds us that, “It takes a strong person to see the positive on down days. The key, I have learned, lies in letting go. It’s about realizing that, except for your own thoughts, there’s nothing that’s absolutely in your power.”
Sometimes the strongest and bravest action you can take is letting go and releasing that which is holding you down the most. It’s not giving up, giving in, but it’s strength.
On some days, when I am not doing so well, one of my family members can expect to receive a call from me, asking for some comfort. Often times, my sister will take a few minutes to encourage me to instead think of my worth and my beauty. She will remind me of how loved I am and how these moments will pass.
Having family to call on is a blessing that I am grateful for and one that I also realize everyone does not have. If it not a phone call you are able to have, take it from me right now, you are worthy. You are valued, and you beautiful.
My hopes are, that for all of you reading this article, is that you take away how good each day is, even when struggles and trials come to challenge us. And to also remember that you are also always beautiful and always good, through whatever mistakes or wrong turns you take, you always a good human being.
