Top TV Shows To Watch This Summer

It's finally summertime and that means you will constantly be free to read those books on your bedside table...but let's be honest, you'll instead be binging on several shows. Here's a list of my favorite TV shows; some deal with the political chaos of DC whereas others involve the foreign lands of the infamous dwarf and the Mother of Dragons. I give you the ultimate list of binge-worthy shows:

1. "Game of Thrones"

It's not reality TV, but it's pretty close to one of the best shows out there right now. If you're a fan of medieval times, dragons, kingdoms, or slight magic...then this is the show for you.

2. "Sex in the City"

An ultimate fan favorite, Sex and the City is every girls go-to show to get their feel for love. The love is Big, but it isn't always perfect.

3. "House of Cards"

Now that I am living down in DC, watching this acclaimed Netflix show has truly intrigued me. DC residents can see the interior display of how politics can truly be a war zone on American soil.

4. "Gossip Girl"

Are you a Chuck & Blair or a Nate & Serena fan? Perhaps you don't know these infamous characters, but you should probably begin to...they will become your life for the next 6 seasons. I mean come on, he's "Chuck Bass."

5. "Scandal"

Another show involving the political sphere, Scandal gives you a little more romance than the aforementioned House of Cards. Olivia Pope is the one to know, and she wears the 'white hat.'

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.
