Airports can be a tricky place to find your way around. Whether you are planning on traveling somewhere great this summer, or flying home to visit family, these tips will help you navigate your way around the airport more efficiently to ensure that you don't miss your flight, or get stressed in the process of making your way to your gate!

Do everything electronically.

Having everything on your cell phone will make your experience so much quicker and efficient. You won't lose your boarding pass or accidentally drop something because it will all be right there on your iphone. From your mobile airline app, to your boarding pass, having everything right there on your phone makes for a much easier, and organized travel experience.

Know where you're going.

There is nothing worse than being in a busy place and having no idea where you are headed. Except maybe being that person that does know where they are going but has to steer clear of the ones standing in the way trying to figure out where they need to be… being that person standing in the middle of the walkway might also be slightly embarrassing. Knowing where you are going before you get there will save you so much time! Getting dropped off at the correct terminal, which you are able to view on your mobile boarding pass, allows you to arrive at the airport closer to your flight gate and can terminate minutes off of your walking time from security, to where you will be getting onto your plane. Keeping your eyes peeled and being aware of signage within the airport can also really help you to know which way you need to be headed.

Pack lightly.

Trust me, there is nothing worse than having to drag huge suitcases that are probably overweight around the airport (moving back and forth from college has given me plenty of experience with this). If you only take away one thing from this article, please let it be to pack lightly! Chances are, if you are anything like me, you will not even end up wearing half of the things you pack. Using a carry on makes everything so much easier and can also save you money because you will not need to check a bag, which can typically cost around fifty extra dollars. If you do decide to use a carry on, you will also be able to save time before your flight, as well as afterwards, as you will not have to go through drop-off, or pick-up procedures for your checked bag, which can often involve long lines and wait times.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."
