I am always on the lookout for a good sale and comfortable clothes, these stores do that for me:

  1. Old Navy: Their prices and clothes are reasonable. For me, I was always able to find something that flattered my body type, which for most of my life was really hard to do. My favorite thing to buy their is jeans, being short finding jeans that fit are impossible. Old Navy has made me a believer in jeans again. I love the way that I feel when I put them on and the confidence that shines through. Some of my most worn clothes came from this store. I love it.
  2. Kohl’s: Their deals are hard to beat. The clothes are also realistic to body types and the prices are reasonable as well. I love their t-shirts because they are not fitted, they are roomy and flow nicely.
  3. Aerie: Every once in a while, I find something at this store. It is one of my favorites because of how unusual it is and how comfy their pajama pants are. I love them because of how confident and cool they are.

Shopping for clothes has become a lot more of an enjoyable experience for me over the years. These three stores have stuck with me through a lot and I always find myself going back to them.

Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
