Every college student looks forward to spring break. It's a time for them to relax, have fun, and to hopefully enjoy some nice weather. Many go away to places such as Miami and México, but a lot of students do stay home for the break as well. While at home you may be wishing that you were anywhere but home, and are bored out of your mind. Below is a list of things to do while you're home for spring break.
1. Go On a Weekend Trip Somewhere Close
You've been dying to go to Miami for spring break, but you just can't afford it. Instead, opt for a weekend get away with your friends that's just a few hours away.
2. Finish or Start a Book
In college, you never have the time to read what you want. So, take the week to start or finish that book that you've been dying to read
3. Go Shopping
With classes, studying, and club meetings, you rarely have time to ever leave campus. Take the break to update your wardrobe or splurge at Sephora.
4. Netflix
This is the perfect opportunity to start a new show that you've been dying to watch, or to finish up a show that you've been watching for months.
5. Go to a Concert
You may not have the greatest seats, but at least you'll be having a great time with your friends.
6. Volunteer
Volunteering may not be number one on your things to do, but you'll be making a difference in someone's life as well as sprucing up your resumé.
7. Watch Youtube Tutorials
You have all of this makeup, but only know the basic on what to do with it. Take the day and watch some tutorials. Everyone will be jealous of how gorgeous your makeup looks.
8. Go to the Closest City for the Day
You and your girls probably have no money to spend, but at least you'll be able to enjoy the city. Plus, there's a bunch of free things to do.
9. Sleep
As a college student you can never get enough of this. There's nothing like sleeping in your own bed and not having to set your alarm for once.
10. Homework
No one wants to think about anything school related over spring break, but if you get it done in the beginning you won't be thinking about all that work you have to do later on.
11. Have a Movie Marathon
Pick some of your favorite movies and spend the day watching them with some of your closest friends.
Staying in your hometown may not be the most exciting spring break, but it can be fun if you make it fun. Don't just sit home all day thinking about what your friends are doing. No matter where you are for spring break, you'll have a great time depending on what you make of it.
