My music taste is one that is quite diverse, or so I think. If you were to ask some of my friends, my roommate, or my family members, they would probably agree. Some of my music taste comes from my family's Irish heritage and other parts come from my parents taste in music which range from Broadway, rock, pop, and everything in between. The rest of my music taste is currently what is modern pop music. Since my music taste is so varied, it was hard for me to write this list of my top ten current favorite songs. I encourage all of you to take a listen to these songs if you have not done so already. Right now, I am currently listening to so many songs, and if I had to pick my top ten songs right now they would be the ones listed below in no particular order.

1. Solsbury Hill: Sung & Written By: Peter Gabriel

I picked Solsbury Hill because I find it not only to be a beautiful song but a song that relaxes me when my tensions are high. The lyrics and the music are inseparable to me.

2. Forever Young: Sung by: Rod Stewart Written By: Jim Cregan, Kevin Savigar & Rod Stewart

I chose Forever Young because not only do I find it to be a beautiful song but I feel that I have been surrounded by this song most of my life. My family’s love for it influenced my own love for it.

3. Defying Gravity: Sung By: Kristin Chenoweth & Idina Menzel Written by: Stephen Schwartz

I chose Defying Gravity not because it is from one of my personal favorite musicals, but because of the message in the lyrics, being that nothing can stop you. You could even try defying gravity.

4. Edge of Seventeen: Sung & Written By: Stevie Nicks

I love this song not just because I love Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac (her group) but I love the riff of the guitar and the powerful vocals.

5. Non-Stop Sung By: Leslie Odom, Jr., Lin-Manuel Miranda, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Phillipa Soo, Christopher Jackson & Original Broadway Cast of Hamilton Written By: Lin-Manuel Miranda

I chose this song because it provides me with some inspiration with how Hamilton worked in his career quickly and did everything he could

.

6. Trip Through Your Wires: Sung By: U2 Written By: Bono

I chose this song because in my viewpoint, U2 is not only one of the greatest rock bands of all time, but one of the greatest bands of all time. I also love the slight bit of country music on this track in the beginning.

7. June: Sung & Written By: Luka Bloom

I chose June because I consider it to be an Irish song, but also the beauty of the month. The guitar fits the lyrics just right in my opinion.

8. Freedom Fighter: Sung & Written By: Joe Perry of Aerosmith

I chose this song because one of the things I am most proud of are my freedoms as an American. The music on this song is also something I enjoy.

9. Million Reasons: Sung By: Lady Gaga Written By: Mark Ronson, Hillary Lindsey & Lady Gaga

I chose this song because although it is Lady Gaga, I feel that it is not Lady Gaga. I like her vocals on the song and it is almost just her vocals with no instruments besides the light piano in the background.

10. The Chain: Sung By: Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie & Stevie Nicks Written By: Lindsey Buckingham , Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie, John McVie & Stevie Nicks

I chose The Chain because I feel it gives me life advice. It is a rock song that is not overbearing which I also like. Lastly, it is by one of my favorite bands Fleetwood Mac.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.

Barn Pros

Growing up I have always wanted to own a horse. My grandparents own a well known equestrian facility in Georgia, so I have been riding since I was born. A bond between a person and their horse is a bond so strong that it cannot be broken. Everywhere I went I wanted to be around horses, even forcing my family to go on trail rides during vacations. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember has taught me great responsibility, as well as 14 things that all equestrians can relate to.

College is super hard. Between working, studying, and having a social life, it feels like a struggle to just keep afloat.

I understand. When you feel like your drowning and there's no way to stay afloat I understand that it feels like everyone else is doing just fine. I understand all the frustration, long nights in the library, and that feeling that you want to just throw in the towel. I understand that sometimes it's too hard to get out of bed because your brain is already filled with too much information to remember. I understand because I am also feeling pretty burnt out.
