It's the time of the year we've all been waiting for: spring break season! Throughout the month of March, spring breakers everywhere will be flocking to warm and sunny locations for a small taste of sun amid a sea of endless midterms. Whether you're a freshman or a senior, a homebody or a party animal, the time is upon us for college students everywhere to step away from the stress of homework, tests and job applications, let our hair down and get a little (or a lot) crazy.
Based on a collection of ratings, reviews, cost comparisons, lists and other data from across the Internet, I found the top 10 best places to get your Spring Break on the right way. Plus, if you're looking for cheap airfare, check out The Flight Deal, which is a site that compiles daily lists of very cheap flights (most of which are round trip) that lead to not just U.S. cities, but also tons of different places around the world—you're welcome.
10. Los Angeles, California
The best option when you want beaches, clubs and urban culture on the Pacific Coast.
9. Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Spoiler Alert: there's a lot of Florida on this list.
8. Nassau, Bahamas
While USA Today says that Nassau isn't a traditional spring break location, it's been getting more and more popular over the last few years. Plus, you can take some pretty cheap cruises there if you book ahead.
7. Daytona Beach, Florida
All I can say is that about DB is that they literally have their own spring break website.
6. Punta Cana, Dominican Republic
If the Caribbean is what you're into, you can't go wrong with the DR, but heads up: flights aren't always cheap.
5. Los Cabos, Mexico
If you're looking to leave the country, Cabo essentially a more high-end version of Cancun. If you're willing to spend a little extra cash, this is the place to do it.
4. Panama City Beach, Florida
PCB has been named Spring Break Capital of the World by college students for years, hosting over half a million spring breakers each year.
3. Negril, Jamaica
Three words: clothing optional beaches.
2. Cancun, Mexico
For when you want to get out of the country and have a high-key break, Cancun is the place to go. All-inclusive deals (sometimes even with flights) are also pretty easy to find.
1. Miami, Florida
Miami is often thought of as the number one spot in the U.S. for spring break—it might cost you a little more to stay there, but it's worth it if you're looking for the college experience.
Happy Spring Breaking!
