So much to do, so little time...

When one thinks of California, generally, the typical mind resorts to envisioning movie stars, toned and tanned celebrities, Hollywood, Los Angeles, wealthy individuals, lavish lifestyles... the general population definitely loses sight of other major, historic, important and beautiful areas of California.

The San Francisco Bay Area has too much to offer tourists, locals and any type and kind of individual...

Here are some top ten places you must see if you have the chance to visit...

1. The Golden Gate Bridge

Iconic. The image you see when you think "San Francisco." A main feature in movies, sets, and a monument San Francisco is proud to call their own.

2. Downtown San Francisco

Restaurants, shopping, old-fashioned cable cars...what more could you ask for?

3. Stanford University

The Ivy League of the West Coast. You have to visit, just to say to did. This prestigious and pristine university is home to challenging academics and a beautiful campus that educated the makers of companies, such as Google and HP. Stop by the school store and pretend you too, are Stanford grads.

4. University of California-Berkeley

Stanford's sworn enemy. Most definitely a different vibe than Stanford. Channel your inner hippie, boho self and take a trip to downtown Berkeley to find an artsy, activist vibe.

5. Mount Diablo

Feeling adventurous and in need of a workout? Pack a few water bottles and some great hiking shoes. Mount Diablo is a beautiful place to find walking trails and a breathtaking view. You will not be disappointed.

6. Santa Cruz

Need a beach break? Take a trip to Santa Cruz where you can find quintessential shops, restaurants and beach boardwalk.

7. San Francisco Giants

When in San Francisco... go to a Giants game. True locals are very bias and proud of their sports teams. Located on the water, Giants stadium is a ballpark in downtown San Francisco home to the city's very own baseball team. Who doesn't love the great American past time?

8. Alcatraz Island

The home to the first lighthouse to be built on the Pacific Coast, which then became a federal prison that convicted none other than Al Capone... need I say more?

9. San Francisco Zoo

Full of endangered and rescue animals with a wide range of species... a go to for all animal lovers.

10. Fisherman's Wharf

Home of San Francisco's historic waterfront district... go check it out!

Book you flight, your train, fill up you gas tanks, do whatever to go check out San Francisco!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
