Cold rainy days are approaching and while some of you may not want to see the summer go, I am beyond ready for the cold weather. Hot coffee, sweaters, beanies, and days where no one will accuse me of being lazy all day for not going outside and “enjoying the weather.” Winter is coming and here are my Top 10 Netflix shows you have to binge watch before the sun comes back out to play next year.
Stranger Things
Stranger Things was this summer’s hottest new show and for good reason. Even if you do not like science fiction, this show is too good not to at least give a chance. Set in the 1980s this begins with a little boy going missing and his friends trying to get him back. As they continue to search for answers on where their friend is, they discover the Upside Down, a secret government agency, and make a new unusual friend, Eleven. The show will keep you in suspense with every twist and turn and will leave you wishing season two was already out.
Supergirl
So you’ve heard of Superman? Well this is his cousin, and it’s better. Supergirl is one of the CW’s newest hits and there is a reason why, it’s awesome. Based around the life of Kara Danvers and her fulfilling her destiny of helping the world, Kara must fight the villains that try to hurt her city and her family. With the help of her friends and the DEO this show is too Super not to watch (yes, I know that was corny but if you watch the show Supergirl would have approved of my joke.)
How to Get Away with Murder
If you want suspense, thrill, and mysteries for days this show is for you. Viola Davis plays a twisted and ruthless character as Annalise Keating and with the help of her law students she is teaching them exactly how to get away with murder. With new twist and turns every episode, this is a show that once you start you will not want to stop.
Arrow
As we go through this list, you will find that Super Hero TV shows are my thing. With that being said, Arrow is another show you have to check out. Oliver Queen makes a great superhero and with his team behind him it makes for the perfect show. As Oliver tries to save his city after being stranded on an island for five years, he tries to adjust to his new life but sometimes it’s hard to keep the past in the past.
The Flash
Once again, another Super Hero show. The Flash centers around Barry Allen and his new-found life as a speedster. As he tries to save the city from the hundreds of Meta-Humans roaming around, he also has to deal with his past that haunts him.
Jane the Virgin
So I just recently started watching this so I’m not too far into it, but so far it is GREAT. With humor, a little bit of culture, and an ironic plot line, this makes for a great TV show. Currently Binge-Watching while writing this to be honest.
Blacklist
You want drama, this is it. Blacklist is a by far one of my favorite tv shows currently on. A lot like How to Get Away With Murder, this show is filled with suspense and a new twist every episode. If you like FBI dramas and a plot that will keep you guessing, this one is for you.
Shameless
So I haven’t actually watched this yet BUT I hear from my friends that it is great. Apparently it is full of drama, fun, and I hear there is a really cute main character so I am in. Hoping to start this one soon and I think you probably should too.
Quantico
Another one of those great FBI shows that TV has put out there for our enjoyment. Season one is filled with drama, romance, and a lot of who’s the real bad guy. This show will keep you guessing until the end when it all goes BOOM.
Luke Cage
Another Super Hero show, but also one I have yet to watch (sorry I’m still getting caught up on the others mentioned above). With that being said, I have heard great reviews about it and I loved him in Jessica Jones (you should probably binge-watch that too) so I am sure that Luke Cage will be great too.
