So far, that is.

Top Ten Best Movies of 2016

There have been multiple movies that have come out in 2016. I am making a list of the top ten movies that I found to be the best of 2016.

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows

This movie is one of my favorites. I like it more than the first one, to be completely honest, because there is more action. I also like the story line behind the movie; the importance of family and that one person is not more important than the other.

2. Me Before You

I never actually saw this movie and it is the only movie on this list that I have not seen. I heard from my brother and sister that it was one of the best movies that they have seen. I definitely took that into consideration when choosing this movie as one of the top ten, and I will probably watch it now!

3. The Shallows

I love this movie. I love how Blake Lively worked, basically, on her own. It is very action packed and shows how she adapted to her surroundings to learn how to survive in that time of need.

4. The Purge: Election Year

The Purge is one my favorite series. I love horror based films. This movie contains a lot of gore: killings and crude torture.

5. Finding Dory

This movie is probably the cutest movie I have yet to see. I loved that it was based off of Finding Nemo. I also like that it had the same story line as Finding Nemo because in both of the movies, characters search for family members that have been lost.

6. Central Intelligence

Personally, I love The Rock and I am a HUGE fan of Kevin Hart so I had to choose this movie. And because it was very funny.

7. Captain America: Civil War

First things first, I am team Iron Man. Always have been and always will. I loved this movie. It was action packed. I liked how the team dispersed into two different teams although they did bump heads more than once in this movie.

8. Warcraft

Warcraft is an amazing movie but I have never played the game. I believe that it had a good story line as well as a lesson of what is right and wrong.

9. The Conjuring 2

I love, love, love horror movies. I absolutely loved the first one and I absolutely love this one. The second one had more action in it because there was more of a back story and it made things easy to understand.

10. Suicide Squad

This movie was just amazing. I can't think of anything else to say. It was really good.

These movies aren't in any exact order. They are all fantastic movies! I highly recommend all of them!

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
