Halloween is definitely one of my favorite holidays of the year. Fall is in full swing and the trees look so beautiful outside. The leaves are changing colors and falling down so gracefully to the ground. The cooler temperatures are definitely getting me in the mood for this splendid holiday. Here are my top ten favorite things about Halloween!

1. Halloween Costumes

One of my all time favorite things about Halloween is dressing up. On this holiday, people can be anything that they want, anything they have aspired to become. I love the creative and innovative costumes people create for this awesome holiday!

2. Candy

I am personally a sweet-a-holic, which is basically a term describing someone obsessed with sweets. All of my teeth are sweet tooth's. Halloween candy is so delicious and I never get tired of eating it! Every Halloween, I am so excited for the chance to collect Halloween candy and eat it all!

3. Trick or Treating

I absolutely love Trick or Treating. Walking around my neighborhood with friends in my Halloween costume collecting candy is so much fun! Also, it's so much fun competing with my family members for who can collect the most candy throughout the night! Healthy competition for more candy is always a good thing!

4. Halloween Decorations

My mother loves to decorate for this holiday and so do I! Putting ghosts, spiders, orange lights and more in front of our house always gets me into the Halloween spirit!

5. Pumpkin Carving

A tradition on Halloween for my family and many others around the world is the carving of pumpkins. I love carving a new design every year and of course, the tasty pumpkin seeds add to the excitement of this activity!

6. Haunted Houses

I absolutely love Haunted Houses. Now, I personally do not get scared at Haunted Houses, I just laugh uncontrollably! I love watching the actors in their prime, and the makeup work is amazing! Haunted Houses always get me into the spooky ora that Halloween brings!

7. Scary Movies

Scary movies always get me in the Halloween spirit, even if I don't watch the entire movie because I am too scared!

8. Halloween Parties

I love Halloween parties. My family does one every single year and my mom makes the most delicious food! After a long night of trick or treating, there is nothing better than a hot cup of apple cider, pizza and mummy wrapped hot dogs!

9. Halloween Shopping

Halloween Shopping is so much fun. Whether I am shopping for costumes, costume pieces so that I can create something unique of my own, props or decorations, halloween shopping always gets me so pumped for the holiday!

10. Breathtaking Scenery

When Halloween time comes around, the scenery is so breathtaking outside. The leaves have changed colors and walking around Trick or Treating when it is so beautiful outside is one of my favorite parts of the holiday!

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
