Now that they have started to play Christmas music all over the radio I found it a good idea to write an article about my favorite Christmas songs.

10. Santa Baby

This song actually gets on my nerves but when it comes on the radio in the car I don't change it so that must mean something. Obviously my inner conscience wants to listen to the song.

9. Oh Holy Night

This song brings me to tears when I hear it, it is a slow song that is so powerful. My Church's candlelight service on Christmas Eve plays it every year and it gets me emotional every time.

8. Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree

This is a fun and upbeat song that gets you hype for the holidays, It gets you excited about decorating, going shopping, and going to your work's Christmas party.

7. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

This song is great because its an uplifting fun song that makes me think of my childhood, when my family and I used to make the cookies and place milk out for Santa. It also reminds me of watching all of the Santa Claus movies and polar express.

6. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

If you don't know almost every word to this song then I might be judging you (just a little) This song is probably one of the most over played and sung song around Christmas, but am I still going to belt out all of the words when I hear it? Yes, Of course I am!

5. Do You Hear What I Hear

This song repeats the same few lines a million times but thats what makes a song catchy because you can learn the lyrics relatively easy.

4. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

This is a classic Christmas song that I swear will be played a million and four times this christmas but I don't care because I don't think it will ever get old because it easily gets everyone in the holiday mood. You can never go wrong with the classics.

3. White Christmas

All though I don't think I have ever seen a white Christmas I still like to dream about it. It reminds me of almost every Hallmark Christmas movie because ninety percent of them have snow in them.

2. All I Want For Christmas Is You

We make fun of the one time Mariah Carey sang this song live and it was not the best thing in the world, but this song is a awesome song that brings romance into the holidays.

1. Mary Did You Know & Last Christmas

Yes, I have two songs as my top favorite. Both of these songs have different meanings. I love "Last Christmas" because it is catchy and its one of my moms favorites as well. "Mary Did You Know" is just a super powerful song that makes you think about how great Christmas is and who its really about.

I love a lot Christmas songs but I hope you enjoyed this small list of my favorite ones.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
