After conquering the 90's with the Kanto region and releasing a successful follow-up in the Johto region, Nintendo unleased Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald in the mid-2000's. The Hoenn region was born. Introducing new mechanics that changed the game and flipped it upside down, such as abilities and stronger Pokemon, the third generation of Pokemon unleashed fan favorites that have made their mark upon the global audience

10. Gardevoir

- known as the Embrace Pokemon, this elegant and feminine looking Pokemon is one of the best Psychic and Fairy types, and is known for being protective of its trainer. Able to create psychic energy, force fields and even black holes, its use in the competitive scene was at its pinnacle once it was given the Fairy typing and a Mega Evolution.

9. Blaziken

- this blazing chicken is not to be taken lightly. The Blaze Pokemon is a master of close combat, able to scorch its foes with its blazing, hot punches and kicks. Its legs give it enough power to scale over a skyscraper in a single bound, and all though the ban hammer of VGC has not been kind to it, letting Blaziken mega evolve is the last thing you want to let happen.

8. Aggron

A dinosaur-esqe monster with a bad temperament made of iron? This Pokemon screams bad-ass, mega evolve and is awesome. The Iron Armor Pokemon is extremely territorial and has a huge defensive stat to back it up. Although not the best defensive type, consisting of Rock type and Steel type, Aggron is still one of the coolest designed Pokemon.

7. Kyogre

- The Sea Basin Pokemon is the undisputed ruler of the ocean, and has the power to change the weather of the surrounding area to storms and rains, able to inundate dry areas with powerful waves. This Pokemon once clashed with Groudon long ago, and its primal form can even engulf the entire world in water.

6. Metagross

- One of two pseudo-legendaries from the Hoenn region, Metagross is a strange looking Pokemon. It can outperform a supercomputer and calculate complex equations, thanks to its four brains. Like Gardevoir, it gained popularity with its Mega Evolution. It can either bash its opponents with hard Steel- type attacks, or befuddle them with harsh Psychic-type attacks.

5. Groudon

- the eternal rival and mortal enemy of Kygore, the Continent Pokemon is able to dry up any moisture and bring about harsh sunlight. It commands both the powers of lava and earth, able to create land and even turn the entire world into a desert. Once it uses Primal Reversion, it's too late.

4. Latios and Latias

- this duo goes hand in hand. They both had their own movie, and the Eon Pokemon have remained fan favorites for a very long time. Both dragons and guardians of Alto Mare, they are super intelligent for their kind, and are able to understand human speech. While Latias can turn invisible by refracting light amongst its feathers, Latios is able to overtake a jet in flight. They have so many special abilties, like mega evolution and psychic powers. Yet, they make fans so smitten with their charm.

3. Salamence

- The other pseudo-legendary next to Metagross, Salamence is the quintessential Dragon-type. It can breath fire, fly in the sky and shred foes with sharp claws and fangs. The Dragon Pokemon has consistently remained a top tier Pokemon thanks to its versatility and offensive power. It was then given a Mega Evolution in the Ruby/Sapphire remakes, and just continued to slaughter teams and opponents.

2. Sceptile

- The Jungle Pokemon was a staple on Ash Ketchum's team, and remains to be one of the coolest Pokemon ever. It has amazing agility and wields blades sharp enough to cut thick trees, yet has a gentle heart to replant trees and protect the jungles it lives in. Its mega evolution has even given draconic abilties. Fun fact: Ash's Sceptile is one of the few Pokemon that Ash owned to defeat a legendary Pokemon.

1. Rayquaza

- Lord Rayquaza, the Emerald Warrior, the Ozone Master, nobody has better words to describe Rayquaza. A super-ancient Pokemon that has lived millions of years in the ozone layer, it only descends to Earth to rest at the sky pillar or quell the fighting between Groudon and Kyogre. Fantastic stats and a cool appearance, it was blessed with a Mega Evolution, without the need of a mega stone. Most broken Pokemon of all time. Oh yeah, it can destroy meteors without even batting an eye.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
