America’s Got Talent-The biggest talent show in the world. The show that will take any act, any talent, despite the age. The show that can change people’s lives. So without further adieu, here are the top ten acts to ever hit the America’s Got Talent Stage(in my opinion).
1.) Terry Fator(Ventriloquist)
Terry Fator won season 2 of America’s Got Talent as a singing ventriloquist. Fator did many impressions including Etta James, Kermit the Frog and Garth Brooks. In 2008, Fator was featured on the Oprah Winfrey show along with Simon Cowell, where Cowell referred to Fator as one of the “two most talented people on the planet.” In 2009, Fator released a DVD of one of his performances in Las Vegas. The DVD was sold at Target.
2.) William Close(musician)
William Close placed 3rd in Season 7 of America’s Got Talent as a musician. Close, however, was not an ordinary musician. Close builds all of his instruments, but he is most known for his “Earth Harp.” When he auditioned in season 7, the strings of his Earth Harp, reached the balcony of the theatre where the auditions took place. “You walk out here and turn this whole theatre into an instrument. That is originality,” former America’s Got Talent judge Howard Stern said, after Close’s audition. After America’s Got Talent, Close released his own CD of his music that can be purchased on Amazon.
3.) Jackie Evancho(Opera Singer)
Jackie Evancho placed 2nd in Season 5 of Americas Got Talent as an opera singer. When she was on the show, she was only 10 years old. Evancho became the first child opera singer to be on America’s Got Talent. After her, became girls like Arielle Baril who was only eleven at her audition as well as Laura Bretan who was 13 at the time of her audition. “Wow moments are like Jackie Evancho,” America’s Got Talent Judge Howie Mandel said. Since America’s Got Talent, Evancho has gone on many interviews as well as released numerous CD’s since. Evancho also had the pleasure of performing at President Trump’s inauguration ceremony this past January.
4.) Tom Cotter(Comedian)
Tom Cotter placed 2nd in Season 7 of Americas Got Talent as a comedian. He is one of two comics in the history of AGT to make it that far in the competition. “You’re the man to beat. You know how to take a crowd in 90 seconds and win them over. You’re phenomenal,” Former AGT Judge Howard Stern said to Cotter after one of his performances. Currently, Cotter is on tour from March 2017, all the way to November of 2018.
5.) Prince PoppyCock(Singer/Entertainer)
"Prince Poppycock” otherwise known as John Andrew Quale made it to the finals of America’s Got Talent in Season 5 as a singer/entertainer. Quale performed songs like “Bohemian Rhapsody” as well as “The Star Spangled Banner.” Former AGT Judge Sharon Osbourne described Quale as the “male version of Lady Gaga.” Quale also has been on interviews since AGT and on his website, you also have the ability to book him for your next event.
6.) Sofie Dossi(Contortionist)
Sofie Dossi made it to the finals in Season 11 of AGT as a contortionist. Dossi was 14 at the time of her audition. However, Dossi was not your typical contortionist. Her act included her eating an apple with just her feet, as well as shooting archery with only her feet. “I just think you are so good, and even though it’s very similar to what we’ve seen you do before, every time you come it’s bigger and better,” AGT Judge Heidi Klum said."I don’t think people actually understand how much body strength and power you have to have to do what you do. It is extraordinary. You are amazing,” AGT Judge Mel B also added. Since AGT, Dossi has performed on The Ellen Show and shows even more of her tricks on her own YouTube channel. It is also rumored that she might be guest starring on Disney’s “Bizaardvark.”
7.) Deanna Dellacioppa Colon(Singer)
Deanna Dellacioppa Colon made it to the quarter finals in Season 8 of AGT as a singer. “Your emotion came through on the stage and that’s what I look for in a singer,” Former AGT Judge Howard Stern said after Colon’s audition. Since AGT, Colon has performed in 2 Big Lot’s Commericals, released her own single entitled “I am a MasterPiece”, as well as many other things.
8.) Grace Vanderwaal(Singer/Musician)
Grace Vanderwaal had the pleasure of winning season 11 of America’s Got Talent as a singer and a musician. After Howie Mandel hit his golden buzzer after Vanderwaal’s audition, AGT judge Simon Cowell, told Vanderwaal that she could be the next Taylor Swift. After America’s Got Talent, Vanderwaal went on tour as well as released her own album. She also performed at the AGT Holiday spectacular this past December. Vanderwaal is known for her original songs, where many other people had made covers of them. Vanderwaal has also appeared on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” as well as “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.” Vanderwaal is also working on her 2nd album and is performing at two benefit events in March of 2017.
9.)Steven Brundage(Rubik's Cube Magician)
Steven Brundage made it to the semi finals of season 11 on America’s Got Talent. Brundage was originally eliminated during judge cuts, but was brought back into the competition by the power of social media. “Nobody can do what you just did, unless it’s true magic,” AGT Judge Simon Cowell said after one of Brundage’s performances. He has performed on “Good Morning America, The Today Show, as well as The Steve Harvey Show.”Brundage can also be booked for your next birthday party, or event!
10.)The Silhouettes(Dance Group)
The Silhouettes placed 2nd in Season 6 of America’s Got Talent. The Silhouettes weren’t your typical dance group. They danced behind a screen, where all you could see was their bodies. They used dance, to tell a story and made pictures with their bodies.”What an amazing original concept,” Howie Mandel said after their audition. Since AGT, The Silhouettes performed on AGT’s Holiday Spectacular which aired this past December. They also have their own summer dance camp and have raised over 50,000 dollars to help Homeless Children in the United States.
