It's summer and that means no more books, no more stress about projects due, and no more constant stress about when the due dates are. It's all about laying back in the sun and sleeping in from those early morning class schedules. It's also about who is going on which vacation with their family and relatives. I enjoy going on Facebook and looking though my friend's pictures that they took; it makes me feel like I am there as well. Vacations can be big or small, but still have sentimental value to many. I still remember sitting around my kitchen table with my family and reminiscing about beach trips as kids, and how crazy it was having 20 cousins all in one beach house. Or how we bought an insane amount of food at the local grocery store for everyone to eat in one week. The neat thing about vacation spots is they can be made for tourist attractions, they can be family friendly for those younger cousins. So without further a do here are the most visited vacation spots.
1.) Outer Banks, North Carolina
There are numerous activities that can be done to keep the whole family happy at this beautiful beach. You can rent snorkels for the day, pack a picnic and lounge by the waves, or be more adventurous and try sailing. There are small towns of Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Nags Head that are the most popular. So no matter the town that you locate, you are sure to get some sun and make some memories.
2.) The magical place of Disney World!!There is no doubt that everyone as a little girl or boy dreams of the day that they get to fly on a plane, or get a car and drive to Disney World where dreams happen. There is so much to do in each park and it is also amazing to meet the characters in the park and get a picture or two with them. There are themed Disney hotels full of excitement and smiles among all the employees. Disney can even be fun for the adults who are of age to drink around the world.
3.) Ohio Pyle!!
"Located at the southern reaches of the Laurel Ridge, Ohiopyle State Park encompasses approximately 20,500 acres of rugged natural beauty and serves as the gateway to the Laurel Highlands. Close to major metropolitan areas and offering vast choices of activities, Ohiopyle State Park attracts millions of visitors annually." There is white water rafting, log cabins to stay in over a long weekend, and well known restaurants to eat at.
4.) Kennywood!!
Ahhh one of my most favorite amusement parks locally. Kennywood for years has provided a day of classic amusement rides, well known potato patch fries, and great stories to last a lifetime.
So no matter how big or small the vacation is this summer; make sure to have fun, kick back and enjoy it the best you can.
