Top 6 Christmas Movies

As of November 25, it is now socially acceptable for me to focus on the greatest holiday: Christmas. For me, this means eating holiday treats, wearing the best holiday sweaters, listening to those addictive holiday songs, and most importantly watching some of the greatest movies. Growing up, I remember only watching holiday movies on Christmas Eve with my sisters, lucky for me I watch these movies much earlier and throughout the month of December. This is a list of six of the best Christmas movies.

1. Elf

Typically, I am a fan of any Will Ferrell movie as he is a comedic genius, but this one, in particular, is one of my favorites. It always makes me laugh and puts me in the holiday spirit.

2. Best Man Holiday

This is not a "classic" favorite holiday movie, but I will watch it a few times throughout December. It makes me laugh, smile, and cry every single time and it makes for an all around great film.

3. The Polar Express

Animated movies always make me feel like a kid again and there is no better time to feel that way than at Christmas time. Everyone young and old should watch this at least once.

4. The Santa Clause

I am a fan of all three movies in this series, but this one will always hold a special place in my life. Everything about it is so realistic and makes me believe in the magic that surrounds this time of year.

5. The Grinch Who Stole Christmas

I remember when I was younger people would tell me I reminded them of Cindy Lou Who, but I'm not very sure why. I guess it stuck, though, because this movie is one of my favorites and I find myself watching it even when it isn't Christmas.

6. A Christmas Story

For as long as I live I will probably never get the scene of Flick getting his tongue stuck on that telephone pole, and for that reason alone this movie made my list.

Every single holiday movie out there, makes me fall in love with Christmas all over again and, to me, that makes these movies pretty special. I hope you enjoy your holiday season and watch each of these movies at least once.

P.S There are so many other great holiday movies out there.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
