Six Flags Over Georgia is a great way to kill time. You can spend hours upon hours in the park and can do more than you’d imagine. You can ride roller coasters, play fun arcade games, go to the souvenir shops at the front of the park, people watch to the max, and take pictures and hangout with the characters in the park. It’s a great family fun day or just a relaxing day with friends. In honor of GSU night at Six Flags, here’s a list of the top rides at Six Flags Over Georgia.
Goliath
It’s no surprise that Goliath is at the top of this list, it’s a crowd and fan favorite. Its height brought the thrill seeks when it first opened, and hasn’t disappointed since. It’s one of those roller coasters that you have to ride when you visit Six Flags because of how fun it is. It’s nothing too special, but the weightless feeling you have on it is unlike any other ride in the park.
Georgia Scorcher
If Goliath weren’t as fun as it is, the Scorcher would definitely be the top ride at Six Flags. Considering that it’s the only standing up roller coaster I’ve ever ridden, it definitely opened the door to new coasters similar to it. Located in the front of the park, it’s hard to resist hopping in line for this classic coaster.
Batman
As someone who doesn’t care all that much about DC Comics or Batman, it’s shocking how much I love the Batman ride. The way your feet just dangle throughout the entire ride is strangely relaxing to me, and the corkscrews are just so fun. This is another fan favorite and such a classic Six Flags ride.
Mini Mine Train
Yes, this is a kid’s roller coaster. No, I do not care. This has been my favorite ride at Six Flags since I was six, so it’s safe to say that I ride it every time I visit the park. The tunnel drop is so unexpected the first time you ride it, and it’s even better if you’re in the front row.
While Six Flags Over Georgia has many, many other rides and roller coasters, these four are the ones that I absolutely must ride when I visit the park. I can’t go to Six Flags and not ride these rides; otherwise it feels like a wasted and incomplete trip. Six Flags Over Georgia is such a fun place to relax and ride some fun rides with family and friends, and here’s to hoping for new rides and coasters in the near future.
