As the first semester comes to a close, it may be hard to believe that you've been sharing a living space with a person (or if you're like me in a suite, with four people) for three months now. You've probably shared many early mornings and even more late nights together, and there's probably no dialogue on campus that's as unique as the one you share with your roommates.
"Can we play some throwback jams? Some 'High School Musical?'"
"Should I shower now or in the morning?"
"Should I go to class?"
"I don't think I've woken up in time for breakfast in the dining hall the entire semester."
"Does anyone have a phone charger?"
"The amount of trash we have in here is actually ridiculous."
"Is the Brita filled up?"
"Can someone wake me up at 3 a.m. so I can start my paper?"
"When are we having wine night?"
"Can someone bring me back cookies from the dining hall?"
"Can we get some more candles?"
"I promise I'll clean soon."
"How cold is it outside?"
"How dumb do I look wearing this?"
"Don't let me go to sleep until I actually get downstairs and do my
laundry."
"I'm sorry that I keep sleeping through my alarms."
"If anyone goes to CVS tonight, can you get [insert item] for me?"
"My parents are coming into the room in five minutes. Can you guys
check if all the evidence is gone?"
"Whose hair is all over the rug?"
"ALL FIVE OF US ARE IN THE ROOM AT THE SAME TIME FOR ONCE."
"Don't you dare put that on your Snapchat story."
