Most people love to travel but cannot afford it, here is just a few destinations that are readily cheap to travel to. You'll want to book a new adventure by the end of this article!

1. Thailand

This country is super cheap and affordable for anyone to travel! Thailand is known for the clear blue waters and white sand beaches, where a drink is never far out of reach. This country is a backpacker’s heaven! Hostels are a cheap and safe way that many young people can afford to travel to such exotic destinations. Many hostels and backpacker lodges hold basement bars and restaurants that are cheap for those who stay in this style of housing.

2. Cuba

Since this Caribbean island has been ‘opened’ up to visitors and tourists it has become a popular place to visit! Cruise lines have recently started to port in Havana, so prices are soon to be on the rise. This country has a great amount of history and Spanish colonial architecture! The colorful building and housing makes this country stunning and one of a kind! Be sure to have a legendary Cuban Cigar.

Although Prague has become a top tourist destination and 14th largest city in the European Union, it is still one of Europe’s cheapest capital cities! Meals here include a mug of ice-cold beer. Castles and cathedrals fill the city with a lot of historic background. It is easy to get lost in this places' history and architecture, but at least it wont put a huge dent in your wallet! Saving money in this city could allow you to travel to another European favorite!

4. Guatemala

This beautiful country makes it very easy and affordable to learn the Spanish language while traveling through! The beautiful Mayan traditions and history is all around. This Central American country makes it fast, easy, and affordable to travel to other countries while taking in the beautiful rainforest, volcanoes, and ancient Mayan sites. Be sure to check out Guatemala City, the largest capital city in all of South America, to get that ‘big city vibe,’ and see more of the colonial buildings.

5. India

India has been a relatively cheap destination for many years. Travellers are able to eat pure Indian cuisine for a low price. India has so much to offer from the sand deserts, big cities, and markets galore! This country makes it easy to explore off the tourist trails and still stay in your budget. Pondicherry offers free living at the Ashram, where people often teach yoga and alcohol is extremely cheap. There are also many homestay options but what a better place to clear your mind then India!

These are a few places that are cheap to travel to. However, there are many ways to make any trip more affordable. Staying with host families, homestays or hostels can cost drastically less then at a hotel. Also, cooking for yourself will save you a lot of money in the long run, however, some restaurants or cafes can be quite cheap. Bars will partake in happy hour and have good drink specials, because if you do not watch out the alcohol bill will rake up quickly! It is important to do some research before embarking on your travels!
