So, if you know me at all, then you know that I love movies. If you want to know a good movie, just ask me, and I will probably have a pretty good suggestion. So, I'm going to do just that.

1. The Game Plan (rated PG)

I could watch this movie a million times and still be in awe of the cuteness. Easily one of the best/underrated Disney movies of all time.

2. Tangled (rated PG)

Definitely my favorite animated Disney flick ever. If Rapunzel's innocence isn't enough for you, then Zachary Levi's voice has to be. Seriously, I See The Light is my jam.

3. War Room (rated PG)

If you have never heard of the Kendrick brothers, I urge you to do so immediately. War room is their 5th movie after Courageous, Fireproof, Facing the Giants, and Flywheel, which are all great movies. But, word to the wise, keep tissues on hand-trust me.

4. God's Not Dead 1 & 2 (both rated PG)

I adore both these movies. Both are based off of situations that have happened in real life. They are both incredibly encouraging to any Christian.

5. The Maze Runner & The Scorch Trials (both rated PG-13)

I am a proud Glader. I read all three books and the prequel, and I cannot wait for the newest book that comes out this year. Granted, the movies are different from the books, but I love them anyway. WARNING: These are PG-13 movies. There is much strong language and "monster" like things in both films, so if that isn't your thing, then these movies are not for you.

6. Pride and Prejudice (2005) (rated PG)

OK, this is my cliché girl moment. I love this movie so much! It is the epitome of a chick flick without vulgar scenes or profanity. I'm not usually a period drama person, but this movie is not your typical period drama.

7. Elf (rated PG)

"I love you, I love you, I LOVE YOUUU!!!!" Sorry, I had to. Probably one of the funniest movies that I've ever seen. And super quotable. And, it's Will Ferrell dressed as elf. What more could you want?

8. Hairspray (2007) (rated PG)

If you want someone with confidence, then look no further than Tracy Turnblad. The dorkiness and catchy tunes of this movie musical make it a must see.

9. Just about any Marvel movie

Because come on, they're Marvel movies, what's not to love? I will admit that I haven't really watched any of the Iron Man movies (I know, I know), and I'm not a huge fan on Guardians of the Galaxy.

10. Any of the Taken series (all rated PG-13)

My father loves Liam Neeson, so I got the same love. What I don't get is what made them mess with Liam Neeson not once, not twice, but 3 times. Must have been slow learners. WARNING: It is Liam Neeson, so there's A LOT of violence and also some language.

11. Any of the Night at the Museum movies (all rated PG)

I'm a clean humor person, so these are three of my go to movies. It doesn't get much better than Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Robin Williams all in one movie.

So, those are just a few of my suggestions for your next movie night! If you think there's any others that I should try out, comment below!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
