When people ask me, "Where are you going this spring break?" my answer is usually, "Nowhere." Nowhere, however, doesn't mean spring break can't be just as fun, crazy, and adventurous as someone's vacation to Florida. Yes, the beaches in New York aren't that great and yes, it isn't 80 degrees; if the temperature hits 60 I'll claim it's a heatwave. The main point is, there are many ways to enjoy spring break right in your own home state, like New York for example.

1. NYC

New York City is filled with fun activities ranging from going to diverse and authentic restaurant to visiting museums and taking some pictures at iconic sites such as Times Square.


2. Hitting the local park

Parks are a great place to either fool around or just simply relax and stare at the puffy, white clouds floating in the blue sky.


3. Walking into town

There's nothing better than taking a stroll into a cute, little town. Whether you go shopping for groceries, or grab brunch with a friend, taking a quick walk into town never hurts.


4. Going to the local gym

Sometimes the best thing to do on break is to get back into shape - mentally and physically. Take some time to off and enjoy a week of mindless activities, you deserve it after months of hard work. However, if you have the time, why not exercise a bit to keep yourself active and healthy.


Overall, there are numerous way enjoy spring break, and you can do so right in your hometown!

As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life.
