Top Five Winter Must Haves List
Myself

Tis' the season for your heat to be on, fireplaces, and hot cocoa.... Oh and don't forget your Christmas Decor! As the snow hits these next few days in Dayton (According to some weather apps anyway), I'm going to run through my top five favorite winter must haves with y'all so y'all can survive indoors this season!

1. A Lovely cup of Hot Cocoa...

I prefer the classic mix with marshmallows and then fluff, but just hot cocoa in general is always number one on the list of must haves. Make sure to use your favorite mug too! (tumblr_static_tumblr_static_99z9o8pnu144s0cs8kc44s0ss_640.jpg)

2. Blankets...

I don't know about y'all, but blankets are probably the best invention since Dinosaur Chicken Nuggets! They're so cozy and easy to take anywhere.

3. Movies... Lots & Lots of Movies!

Rather it's to be found on Netflix or demand, or even your movie shelf, movies are the best way to by pass your free time. Some good new to DVD's currently are The Secret Life of Pets & Finding Dory. Other ideas especially considering Christmas to be like 13 DAYS away, would be Netflixing Christmas Favorites.... You never know when you'll enjoy one of those.

4. Surprisingly, books....

As much as someone who just became free from finals from school, books are actually a good idea to add to the list. Books can go well with your mug of Hot Cocoa, and your cozy blankets as well! What a fantastic combo!

5. STARBUCKS!!!!!!

As usual as it is to see Starbucks everywhere now, this really is in my top five.Starbucks has the best and I mean the BEST Peppermint Mocha Fraps ever in my opinion. Of course that's just my opinion..... However Starbucks did make my list and considering they serve Hot Cocoa, it's a win-win kinda deal here.

So here it is, my top five winter list of pastime items. Decorating with Christmas decorations was my number six but other than that, I hope y'all enjoy, and Merry Christmas!

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
