Sorry Netflix, going into fall means it is time to come out of the room and go outdoors again. Living in the South, if you decide to go out before October, you will most likely die of heat stroke within the first few hours, but in fall, you can spend most if not all day outside in comfort. Here are my top five favorite things you can do outdoors in between the seasons of blazing heat and too cold to leave the toasty bed.
1. Go to Football games.
Yes, you could go to games before, but now you can finally go support your favorite team without being miserable in the heat.
2. Studying outdoors.
Fall is that perfect time when you can get that Vitamin D by studying outside either on the ground or my personal favorite, in an ENO. It's too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter, so fall really is the ultimate study season.
3. Bonfires.
Fall is the perfect bonfire season because you aren't miserable if you are not by the fire, but not dying if you are. Also, bonfires mean s'mores and who doesn't like s'mores?
4. Camping and other recreational activities.
I love the outdoors. I hate the heat and the bugs that swarm in the heat. Fall eliminates both of those issues. It is now possible to go camping, hike, and do all that other outdoors stuff to "connect with nature." Or you know, to get out of the room and be semi-active without freezing or sweating your butt off.
5. Fairs and Festivals.
Fall brings in fairs! If nothing else, this is the best thing to do outdoors during fall. There are county fairs, festivals with all of these different foods, and different rides. It's like an amusement park right there in your back yard.
