My Top 5 Recommended T.V. Shows

And Netflix Originals.

I'm not big on television, in fact the only thing I'm ever able to watch anymore is Netflix, so I don't have a wide variety of shows to pick from, but I have compiled a list of the top five T.V. shows that I've enjoyed watching recently.

1. Game of Thrones

I got into "Games of Thrones" when my older sister first told me to read the books; I was instantly hooked and I needed more, so I started watching the T.V. show. It has became an obsession that I can't shake. And George R.R. Martin needs to get "Winds of Winter" out ASAP!

2. American Horror Story

I started watching "American Horror Story" last year when season five came out, so I was late coming into the "fandom." But it has become one of my most favorite shows to watch. I love all of the characters and how they each get a different role to play in each of the seasons. It really has a uniqueness to it that I love. I just hate that I have to wait for Netflix to have the seasons I haven't seen yet!

3. Shameless

Granted, I've only watched one episode of the first season, but just from that one episode I know that it's a show worth watching and it's highly relatable to how I've had to live my life. I know that I could easily get into watching it. The only reason why I haven't watched anymore of it is because I started the show with my boyfriend and he has forbidden me from watching it without him.

4. Orange Is the New Black

I've heard so much about this show that I avoided watching it for awhile because I didn't want to get involved with a popular show, but it's so great and the theme song is super catchy. "Trap, trap, trap 'til the cage is full." But once I started watching, I knew why everyone liked it so much. It has an original plot and it's a great show to get into if you you’re really want a uniquely devised show to watch.

5. Skin Wars

I'm not sure why I started watching this (scrolling through Netflix probably) but it's definitely become an addiction. It's definitely one of those shows that you have to binge watch for hours and then never watch again for months. I just love watching how the artists can create a painting or a creation on a naked body – very fascinating indeed!

Now all of these shows are in the top five of my favorite T.V. shows for 2016. I would highly recommend each and every one of these to anybody that's been wanting to watch something new or has just simply been thinking about watching any of the above-mentioned programs.

28 Daily Thoughts of College Students

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
