When I first arrived at Olivet College I had two roommates, and I wasn't sure if I was going to find myself in the situation where your roommate is your best friend and other half. During the first semester I became close friends with my soon to be roommate, and the more we hung out, the more we realized we needed to be roommates. This is why.
1. She cheers me up when I'm down.
She honestly knows me so well, even though we have only known each other for about less than a year, she acts like she has known me my whole life. She knows everything about me, from random facts to important personal details. She'll cuddle me and ask me whats wrong and try to squeeze it out of me because I'm not very good at talking about my feelings, but she always manages to get it out of me and help me feel better.
2. She is the funniest person I know.
She has such an outgoing personality everyone just loves, I don't know how one couldn't! She is always saying or doing something weird and hilarious that makes everyone laugh and she does not care at all what other people think, which is something that I look up to her for.
3. She will always put others before herself.
Ever since I met her, she has always been the one to put others before herself. She is always helping me and others with things such as sports, home work, and projects. She also has this little problem with saying 'No' to people, no matter what the subject or matter is, she'll feel bad and say something like, "Maybe next week" or "Some other time we definitely can."
4. We literally do everything together.
I mean everything! We go to lunch, walk to class, watch scary movies, and we skip class together (don't tell our moms). We even rearranged our dorm room so our beds could be combined into one massive bed.
5. I wouldn't ask for anybody else.
I am so blessed to have met such an amazing person like her. She is not only my roommate, but my best friend. Even though we live three plus hours apart, that doesn't stop us from FaceTime and texting each other every single day, all day (literally, I mean all day) and driving to see each other whenever we have the chance.
