We all remember Disney's Monstober and FaLaLaLa Days growing up. With Ross Lynch and Debbie Ryan being two of many Disney stars featured in the promo. Disney would play non-stop Halloween and Christmas specials. This is something I really covet from my childhood.
We all had our favorite shows, but I going to tell you my top five shows from Disney and Disney XD respectively. This subject will be debated countless time in our life, and it may very well change. These are my ranking for my top five shows.
Number 5: Austin & Ally
Ross Lynch, Laura Marano, Calum Worthy, and queen Rani Rodriguez play a group of four high school teens that try to help Austin Moon (Ross Lynch) become the moist famous pop star he can be. The show was relatable as it showed the struggle to trying to juggle music and school. With many kids having that same relatable struggle to juggle multiple after school activities. And not to mention the absolute bangers that came from this show including: A Billion Hits, Not a Love Song, Illusion, and Double Take. The show also had some cool guest starts, with Netflix staple Noah Centineo playing a reoccurring role as Dallas from the cell phone accessory cart. Another guest star, Cameron Jebo who played Gavin Young, Ally's love interest before Austin and Ally developed feeling towards one another. Jebo was also on another popular kids' show Power Rangers Megaforce. The show aired from 2011-2015, when many of us were beginning to start high school. Austin Moon and Ally Dawson remain a staple in my music taste to this day. There will be spoiler alerts in this lists as I got into some of the shows development.
Number 4: Good Luck Charlie
Bridgit Mendler, Jason Dolly, Bradley Steven Perry, Leigh-Allyn Baker, and Eric Allan Kramer stared as a family living in Denver, Colorado. The show revolves around the Duncan family adjusting to the birth of their new sibling, Charlie. This show appeals to whole family, and not just kids. Each character has some relation to every family in the world. With Teddy (Bridgit Mendler) being the studious brainiac of the family, PJ (Jason Dolly) being the lovable goofball, and Gabe (Bradley Steven Perry) being the trouble maker in the family. Bob (Eric Allan Kramer) and Amy (Leigh-Allyn Baker) Duncan being the lovable parents who have their own faults attempting to raise a family that gets up to five kids big, with the addition of Gabe Duncan in the later seasons. This show didn't have the music of Austin and Ally, but the show contained great lessons people of all ages could take aways from the show. And who could forget Teddy's advice videos for Charlie during each episode with her signature sign off "Good Luck Charlie!"
Number 3: Suite Life on Deck
Number 2: Kickin' It
Coming in at number two is your favorite childhood karate show, Kickin' It. Kickin' it features five high schoolers who attend the Bobby Wasabi dojo, owned and run by Rudy Gillespie (Jason Earles). Over the course of four seasons, we see the Wasabi Warriors develop from teens, into young adults. This show has one of the most underrated characters arches in out of any Disney show. Jack Brewer (Leo Howard) develops from a shaker punk into a third degree black belt, and assistant sense with Rudy. Kim Crawford (Olivia Holt) goes away to Otai Academy, a prestigious martial arts academy in Japan. Jerry Martinez (Mateo Arias) becomes a black belt after years of training, and develops into a solid business parter with Falafel Phil (Dan Ahdoot). And Milton Krupnik becomes a true man and cements his stats as the brains of the group. This show has great comedy and action packed into it. But just make sure to not annoy any Black Dragons.
Number 1: Phineas and Ferb
Phineas and Ferb is in my opinion, the best Disney Show of all time. For starters, the show is still being shown on Disney very recently. The show could me watched and enjoyed by both kids and parents alike. Actors such as Ashley Tisdale (Candace Flynn), Mitchell Musso (Jermey Johnson), and Alyson Stoner (Isabella Garcia-Shapiro) all lent their voices to the show. Creators of the show Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh threw in references both kids and adults alike could enjoy. In season one episode twenty-two, there is a scene where Phineas and Ferb are rocking with a member of the band Love Handel throughout the development of music, that all adults watching the series can appreciate. The show followed a very consistent A/B plot line. With Phineas and Ferb's inventions being the A story, and their pet platypus Agent P thwarting the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz's evil scheme. The show has also produced two movies: Phineas and Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension and Candace Against the Universe. Another reason for why Phineas and Ferb is the best Disney show in my opinion is the underrated songs that were in many shows. Songs such as "A-G-L-E-T" taught us what the plastic at the end of a shoelace is. There's a Platypus Controlling Me, S.I.M.P, and Gitchee Gitchee Goo are fast paced and catchy. Phineas and Ferb is the perfect combination of plot, music, and references, and I could rewatch the show countless times over and over again, and I would still enjoy it.
