My Top 18 Favorite Summer Iced-Teas Exclusively At Teavana
Teavana

To me, ice tea is marvelous and essential for any warm and sunny day. It's a refreshing start to the day or great while planning a picnic, or even planning a day at the beach or pool! Summer time, especially is a great time to get into tea, and for many great reasons. When making and steeping tea leaves, it is always good to find out which tea you can reuse for steeping and which ones you can't, that way you get the most bang for your buck! Always ask a tea sales associate when buying which ones are re-steep-able. Also, when buying tea and steeping, make sure to get a good caffeine level which can vary (herbal teas never have caffeine because they are purely herbs and fruit mixes). I personally love herbal teas because they are relaxing and refreshing but have zero caffeine. For summer it's good to avoid caffeine every day to stay extra hydrated while still relaxing and getting decent sleep. If you're not familiar with Teavana already, the name of their company refers to "tea heaven" and is literally my favorite drink shop of all time, other than Wilson College's local tea and coffee shop C&C in downtown Chambersburg. Tea, along with coffee, is great iced and as long as you mix it right with their specialty blends, sugars, and honey, it can make for a terrific refreshment on any hot summer's day.

When steeping, make sure to add the amount given on the label as purchased, then, do the math, and you can easily calculate how much tea leaves you need. Herbal teas steep the longest for 4-5 minutes or more for adequate flavor whereas black teas steep between 1-2 minutes and white and green tea between 2-3 minutes. Depending on the blend, times may vary.

Now, let's get to what you're all here waiting for - the exciting part which is an amazing assortment of teas you can make iced for any summers day. I recommend making ice tea extra strong in half of a container or cup that you are using and when adding ice or cold water, you fill the rest, making for a good balance. Always add sugar and honey BEFORE mixing the rest over ice, along with cream or lemon, etc. that way you are mixing properly. Sample sweetness gradually before adding more to avoid over-sweetening and you will have your perfect cup of iced-tea.

Here are 18 Top Favorite Summer Iced-teas by Teavana -- (some blends you just can't forget).

    The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

    976
    The Great Christmas Movie Debate
    Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
