I personally believe your style defines you - especially when everyone is looking for the next trend. Here are a couple of my favorites right now. Warning, you might want to shop after this!

1. Tiny Sunglasses

You see these everywhere and Kanye made them trendy, so obviously everyone loves them. I honestly don't get the point because I can never see through them, but who cares? They look cute and I'm a fan!

2. Mom Jeans

Mom jeans, baggy jeans, high wasted vintage Levi's, you get the point. Love them and they look good on basically everyone – go get a pair and see for yourself.

3. "Lob" Haircut

I've had long hair forever, but even I hopped on this trend and chopped off my hair to my collarbone. And it looks great on everyone – I personally am so happy I did it. Not a new trend per say, but making the chop has definitely caught on again.

4. Funky Sneakers

I have a sneaker addiction, so this is one of my favorite trends right now. I love shoes that are a little "out there", and recently got my own pair of funky platform white ones with gold stars.

5. Slip On Loafers

You all know exactly which shoes I mean too, the Gucci ones with the fur, or the Steve Madden ones that are EXACTLY the same (except for the price tag). It's like wearing slippers while looking cool and trendy – I can personally support this if it means I look like I have my life together while in comfy slipper-like shoes.

6. Bandeau Tops

Every girl has one of the ruched, tube tops (Brandy Melville has a lot of cute ones) and they work with everything. Jeans, skirts, whatever your heart desires I swear it will look great.

7. Fanny Packs

This isn't exactly my favorite trend (my grandma still has a fanny pack so…) but they work for some and aren't the worst thing ever. They are convenient and can hold everything in one place, so I totally get the appeal. If Kendall Jenner can pull it off, maybe so can I?

8. "Clout" Goggles

The glasses that came out of nowhere and took over – almost more so than tiny glasses. Still not sure why they are called clout goggles but I like it.

9. Gold Dainty Jewelry

Last but not least, dainty gold jewelry. I'm a fan. Specifically rings. This category basically applies to every piece of jewelry I own – can you tell this is one of my favorites?

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
