As I've stated many many times, QB is the most important position in American Football. Lot's of QB's from college last year are moving onto the NFL this season, so who are going to be the new stars to fill their position? Look below and find out!
(Note: Did not include QB's that didn't start last year)
Sam Elhlinger
Sam Elhlinger showed last year that he can play with the big boys. He was able to beat Georgia, who arguably should have been in the College Football Playoffs, in the Sugar Bowl. Elhlinger also almost surpassed 4,000 yards passing in a season which is very impressive in college as well as he helped make a Texas team that was mediocre into a top 15 team. Elhlinger is going to make even more strides this year and perhaps be the best QB in college football.
Justin Herbert
Justin Herbert decided to return for his senior year in college rather than enter a weak crop of QBs in the NFL Draft. Rumor has is that he didn't forego his senior year because he didn't want to play for the Giants, but I'm not Herbert so I don't know. Anyways, while Herbert is an NFL ready QB, he isn't the best in college football right now. He has solid accuracy and a solid arm, and will undoubtedly be one of the better QB's in college. If Herbert performs well this season, he will most likely be a first round pick.
Jake Fromm
Jake Fromm has led the Bulldogs to two SEC Championships, and a College Football National Championship. No matter how much one says he is a system QB, you can't deny the impact he has had on UGA's football team. Fromm has nice accuracy as well as a nice arm. Fromm is a prototypical QB that NFL coaches will love and once again get ready to watch Fromm lead the Bulldogs to bigger things.
Tua Tagovailoa
GiphyTua since the moment he stepped onto the National Championship last year at halftime has been nothing, but a stud. Tua is Saban's only QB till date who has been a star and Saban is using the most out of him. Watch for Tua to lead Bama back to the title stage next year as he performs more magic.
Trevor Lawrence
Trevor Lawrence won the national championship as a true freshmen. He also made Dabo Swiney bench Kelly Bryant who helped lead the Clemson Tigers to the playoffs a year before. He's a true freshmen...one year removed from high school. Let that sink in. Lawrence made the Tiger's offense so scary and helped open up so many plays that Swiney was able to do with Deshaun Watson. Lawrence has Peyton Manning level skill, and with him back on Clemson next year, beware of the Tigers.
