'Tis the season to be full of Christmas albums! That seems like the perfect way to recap what a holly jolly year it has been for Christmas music. From sensational acapella groups to some of the holiday's finest musicians, this Christmas season has all music lovers in for a treat! Here is a list of the top Christmas albums released this year that'll get you in the Christmas spirit.
1. A Pentatonix Christmas - Pentatonix
A Pentatonix Christmas is the second studio holiday album from the pop sensation acapella group. This collection features holiday classics, such as "O Come All, Ye Faithful," "White Christmas," and "I'll Be Home For Christmas". As well as many more festive favorites. Their last holiday album, That's Christmas to Me debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart and has been certified double platinum by the RIAA. I guess that promises for another hit Christmas record!
2. 'Tis The Season - Jordan Smith
Season 9 winner of one of America's most popular competition reality shows, The Voice released his debut holiday album earlier this fall. 'Tis The Season, which features Maria Aledia and Mormon Tabernacle Choir, has been climbing Billboard's Holiday Albums chart and the all-genre iTunes chart since its release. Smith's rare, compelling, and simply beautiful voice is what won him all of America last year and now, he is winning all of our holiday hearts.
3. Glow - Brett Eldredge
One of country's biggest breakout stars, Brett Eldredge put it all on the line with his debut Christmas collection. It's clear that the CMA-award winner's inspiration for his first holiday project is defiantly Frank Sinatra. Glow features many Christmas classics and also a duet with pop star, Meghan Trainor on "Baby, It's Cold Outside." Brett also co-wrote the title-track for his special holiday treat, that I'm sure will be stocking stuffers for many.
4. Wonderland - Sarah McLachlan
Wonderland is one of McLachlan's many Christmas releases. This 17-track collection features songs like "Let It Snow," "Away in a Manger," "Winter Wonderland," "Silver Bells," and many other Christmas classics you'll be sure to hear this holiday season. Wonderland's deluxe collection (only available at Barnes & Noble) also features gospel classics "Amazing Grace" and "Snow." McLachlan currently sits in the top 30 on Billboard's Holiday Albums chart.
5. It Must Be Christmas - Chris Young
Chris Young is only one of many country stars who decided to release a holiday album this year. He has been known for his irresistibly sexy voice on hits like his one of his latest, "I'm Comin' Over." Young went for a very classic approach when releasing It Must Be Christmas. Hits like "The Christmas Song" and "Holly Jolly Christmas" can be found on Young's take on Christmas, as well as all-star duets with Brad Paisley ("The First Noel"), Boyz II Men ("Silent Night") and Alan Jackson ("There's A New Kid in Town").
6. Simply Christmas - Leslie Odam, Jr.
Leslie Odom, Jr. has previously been seen as an actor on film, television, and on Broadway. He also recently won a Tony award for Best Actor in a Lead Role for the highly-successful Broadway musical, "Hamilton." Odom, Jr. releases his first holiday album this year with classic Christmas hits like "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "I'll Be Home For Christmas," "The First Noel," and more. A cover of "My Favorite Things" can also be found on his follow up to his debut studio-album in 2014. Simply Christmas peaked at #4 on Billboard's Holiday Albums chart and continues to be one of this year's best releases.
7. Tennessee Christmas - Amy Grant
Amy Grant is one of the most iconic and beloved songwriters in Christian music. Throughout her career so far, Grant has sold over 2.7 million Christmas albums. Tennessee Christmas has been described as one of Grant's and the season's most warm and jazzy albums yet. The 13-disc collection includes fan favorites such as "Joy To The World" and "Tennessee Christmas". 20-time Grammy-award winner, Vince Gill can also be found on one of the album's jazziest tracks, "Baby, It's Cold Outside". Grant's Tennessee Christmas reached a new peak of #6 on Billboard's Holiday Albums chart this past week.
8. Christmas Together - Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood
The duet album that we have all been waiting for from two of country's greatest! Christmas Together is filled with a very unique set of tracks to help bring in the Christmas spirit, including "Silent Night" and "Little Drummer Boy." One of the album's biggest highlights is when both Brooks and Yearwood join together for the holiday classic "Baby, It's Cold Outside." Both get their own moments to shine on the record as well, Brooks being on a song titled "Ugly Christmas Sweater" and Yearwood's on her own version of "Santa Baby". The country's 'it couple's' Christmas Together is currently #2 on Billboard's Holiday Albums chart.
9. A Very Kacey Christmas - Kacey Musgraves
Once again, another hit country Christmas record to fill stockings with this Christmas season. A Very Kacey Christmas is Grammy-award winner, Kacey Musgraves' first Christmas collection. It features classic Christmas sing-a-longs such as "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer." Musgraves also cuts "Feliz Navidad" for her holiday debut. Leon Bridges ("Present Without a Bow"), Willie Nelson ("A Willie Nice Christmas") and The Quebe Sisters ("Let it Snow") can all be found featured on country's most talked about Christmas record of the year.
10. Merry Christmas from Andra Day (EP) - Andra Day
Grammy-nominated singer, Andra Day released her first Christmas album as well this year with Merry Christmas from Andra Day. Although her first holiday collection isn't a full album, the 5-track EP is filled with Christmas tunes such as "Winter Wonderland," "Carol of the Bells," and "The First Noel." Merry Christmas from Andra Day features a duet with the legendary Stevie Wonder on "Someday at Christmas." A star in the rising everybody!
