Music is a very diverse field, it offers several genres such as rock, folk, pop, and rap. I listen to many genres of music because it opens me up to other cultures around the world. My top five are albums I listen to consistently and each of them has a different genre of music.

1. A Moment of Madness by Izzy Bizu

This album is a fusion of jazz, funk, soul, and pop; which makes it unique in its own right. Izzy Bizu is a British-born singer and songwriter who was signed to Epic Records in July of 2014. This is one of my top five albums because every song is unique and has a different sound. My favorite track from the album is Lost Paradise because it's a fusion of jazz and pop; it also presents a more lyrical side of Izzy Bizu.

Below is a video of Izzy Bizu performing my favorite track:

2. FMA by Grace

This album is a mix of blue's, hip-hop, and R&B; this makes the album very versatile when it comes to lyrics and instrumental sound. Grace is an Australian born singer and songwriter who was signed to RCA in 2015. Her album FMA (Forgive My Attitude) is one of my top five albums because each track is unique when it comes to lyrics and Grace's vocal range. My favorite track from the album is New Orleans because it's a very slow tempo ballad and shows a softer side of Grace's vocal range.

3. VHS 2.0 by X Ambassadors

This album has a strong rock influence and is instrumentally unique in sound. X Ambassadors is an American band from New York and was signed to Interscope in 2012. This album is in my top five because of its instrumental sound behind the vocals and the uniqueness of each tracks song lyrics. My favorite track from this album is Kerosene Dreams because of the lyrics and the band's constant change in the vocal range within the song.

Below is a video of my favorite track:

4. Pentatonix by Pentatonix

This album is an acapella album that covers genres such as pop, rock, R&B, and EDM. Petatonix is an American acapella group from Texas signed to Sony. This is one of my top five albums because the group covers some of my favorite mainstream pop songs, but they also include some of their original songs they have written. My favorite track from the album is Ref because its the one song on the album that show's off every member of the groups vocal range.

Below is a video of my favorite track:

5. Hell's Kitchen Angel by MAX

My final album is one that has many musical genres that are fused together to make a very unique sound and album. MAX is an American born actor, model, dancer, songwriter, and singer; he was signed to DCD2 in 2015. This album is in my top five favorite albums because each song shows off MAX's vocal range and each song has its own unique genre. My favorite track off the album is Lights Down Low because it's one of the only ballads on the album that sounds more instrumental with the sound of a acoustic guitar playing behind the vocals.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
