Top 9 Cheap Eats In Atlanta

Whether you're out of luck on your food selection at home, trying to find a decent place to eat with others, or just low on the ramen supply, here are the best and cheapest selections from the Atlanta area to get your palettes and your bank accounts a smooth experience. Try a few of these suggestions.

1. Victory Sandwich Bar- Inman Park

($4-$10) Imagine a sandwich that's $4 with a side of sea salt and cracked pepper kettle chips. Then go to Victory Sandwich Bar and then stop imagining, because it's actually real life. Every sandwich on the menu has it's own individual qualities that makes it original and for some reason, extremely addictive. Some people say that the portion size is too small, but that just makes it easier for you to get dessert later!

2. Taqueria del Sol- West Midtown

($4-$10) People crave over Jeni's ice cream but no one gives love to the store right next door. Taqueria del Sol brings a new side to Mexican food with their metal decor and clean tacos. Their tacos are not elaborate but the flavors are all there. Be sure to get the fried chicken taco with the salad trio, which are three of their homemade salsas with fresh chips.

3. Rusan’s - Midtown

($1-$10) Yup, you read that right. $1 and it's not even from the McDonald's Dollar Menu. California, spicy tuna, spicy salmon rolls, and so much more all for $1each. For $1, you get fresh-tasting, premium-tasting sushi. For all you nigiri fans, $1.50 nigiri! If you're not a sushi expert or picky with raw fish, this is the best deal you could ever get in Atlanta for sushi. Say no to $10 for a sushi roll and say hello to your newbest friend.

4. Hangook Taqueria - West Midtown

($3-$10) This Mexican-Korean fusion restaurant will take your tastebuds on a trip. If you enjoy Korean BBQ and tortillas, the unexpected pair will surprise you. They have bulgogi (marinated BBQ) burritos, spicy Korean pulled pork tacos, and even bulgogi quesadillas with jack cheese. The tacos range from $2.25-3.50 but two should get you filled up if you get a side of the sesame fries, which are only $3! From a Korean's perspective, this restaurantnails the Mexican-Korean blend just right. Forget Chipotle and try something new! I take that back, Chipotle is life.

5. Felini’s - Poncey Highland

($3-$7) Home is where the cheap pizza is and Fellini's has the cheap pizza that's also the best thing ever. It's an Atlanta staple, and it's my go-to eat after work, when there's no food at home, or just a nice hang with friends. There are four locations in Atlanta, so it's easy to get the best $3 pizza anywhere you are in the area.

6. Tom + Chee - West Midtown

($5-$10) As a college student, I consume more ramen and grilled cheese than most ramen and grilled cheese enthusiasts. However, Tom + Chee takes grilled cheese to a whole another level. This newly opened restaurant sells customized grilled cheese sandwiches and homemade tomatosoup. That's a match made in heaven all under $10.

7. Noni’s Bar & Deli - Old Fourth Ward

($7-$14) Want to take your significant other on a date, but not spend too much? Don't worry. You're not cheap. You're thrifty! Noni's sets the mood with dim lighting, a rustic bar, and wooden furniture. Try the famous Noni sandwich for a loaded meaty surprise and do not leave without trying the garlic fries! Every now and then, they have live performances by local artists in the Atlanta area. Never take your date to an Olive Garden's date again.

8. Bar Taco - West Midtown

($4-$14) Whenever my friends visit me in Atlanta, they always ask to eat somewhere "cool" and I always take them here. The vibes are all there, and what better way to enjoy three tacos for $7? All the ingredients are so fresh and so delicious, so stop by to enjoy the tapas-style dining experience.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
