There are some essentials you need in order to begin your sorority crafting. Whether you want to or need to make things for your big or little or just want to make some crafts for fun, these 8 things will help you get started.

Canvases

Canvases are your go to for sorority crafts. They are the best gift for your big or little because you can customize them with any design they’d like. Pinterest has thousands of ideas for canvases if you have no clue what to paint. There’s so much inspiration for both canvases for specific for your sorority or for canvases for your big or little. Micheal's always has sales on their canvases so pick up a pack and get painting!

Paint

If you’re going to be decorating canvases or other crafts, you’re gonna need paint. Acrylic paint is the best to get for painting and you can find it at any craft or paint store. Black and white are great staple colors to get large sizes of because you will use both of those colors a lot. Pink, blue, purple, and turquoise are some good colors to get for your sorority crafts as well.

Paint Pens

If you’re new to the painting and crafting world, you should definitely invest in some paint pens. Painting words out with brushes is not easy, especially if you’re not experienced in it. Paint pens are helpful because they allow you to paint out words just like you’re writing with a pencil or pen. There are so many different brands of these now and they will all help the words on your crafts look better.

Paint brushes

Paint brushes are obviously an essential for your sorority crafting. There are so many types of brushes for doing different things, but you can mostly stick with the basic brushes. You should look for a pack of brushes with several different sizes. Get some small tipped ones if you are planning on writing anything out with the brushes. Always make sure to wash your brushes after you use them or it will make it harder to use them when you go to paint again.

Tape

Tape can be extremely useful for painting different designs or putting together different crafts. Painter’s tape or washi tape is the best to use for painting designs, but regular clear tape can work as well. Washi tape can also be used on its own to decorate crafts with all the cute colors and patterns it can have. Stripes can be created easily with putting down tape with spaces in between, painting in the gaps, and then removing the tape.

Hot Glue Gun

Hot glue guns are an essential for any crafting you’re doing. They will help you put together so many different crafts and they’re very easy to use. You can find ones for very cheap and they’ll do everything you need them to do. Make sure to get extra hot glue sticks because you can go through them quickly.

Frames

Frames are a great sorority craft to decorate for your big, little, or sorority friend. Pinterest also has so many design ideas for sorority frames and the possibilities are endless with how you can decorate them. A great idea is to take a picture during your big little reveal and make a frame to keep the picture in.

Crate

When you start crafting, you’re gonna start collecting a lot of supplies very quickly. A crate is a super cute and easy way to keep all your supplies in one place. You can get one that is already decorated or get a plain one and craft it yourself. Crates will make your life so much easier when you go to look for any of your crafting supplies and they’re a great essential to have.

Those are my top 8 sorority crafting essentials! All of these items are important to get your crafting started and will make your crafting so much easier.
