Top 8 Songs Of Summer 2016

Summer is coming to an end and so are the summer hits. Mendes, Trainor, Adele, you name it. They have bought the heat in music these last few months. You've listened to their hits in your car, on the beach, at work, at the fair, or whereever. They provided your entertainment, changed your mood, or gained you strength to do something in your life. Their songs have been in your head for months. However, as summer turns into fall, the following songs will become oldies of summer 2016:

1. "Treat You Better," Shawn Mendes

Shawn has done it again with this hit!

2. "Me Too," Meghan Trainor

With a good beat and powerful message, Trainor has set the bar high.

3. "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)," Adele

This was one of the most soulful and powerful songs of the summer. You can't help but love Adele.

4. "We Don't Talk Anymore" (feat. Selena Gomez), Charlie Puth

I hope it's not true but there is a rumor that Selena and Charlie "don't talk anymore."

5. "Lost Boy," Ruth B

Anything relating to Peter Pan and his gang is magical.

6. "Into You" Ariana Grande

Grande always delivers a soulful voice and her song, "Into You," reflects her continued musical abilities.

7. "Cheap Thrills" (feat. Sean Paul), Sia

They produced a very interesting music video; however, the song is catchy.

8. "Don't Let Me Down" (feat. Daya), The Chainsmokers

To be honest, I am not a huge techno music, but I find myself singing along to this song all the time.

These songs have impacted your summer experience. I know I listen to these jams to escape into a musical atmosphere. Whether you are missing your summer or remising on your past, listen to the songs above to satisfy your hunger.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
