Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I bet a lot of people are going to do something with their significant other. But, what about the girls who don’t have boyfriends or dates for Valentine’s Day. What should they do? Well, why not enjoy a girls’ night with their friends who are single as well? Possible watch a movie? Here are 8 romance movies to watch for your girls' night on Valentines day!

1. Sweet Home Alabama

This movie is about a fashion designer coming home to Alabama after being away for seven years.

2. The Proposal

In this movie, an employee of an editing company and his boss have to pretend to be engaged in front of his family, so the boss (played by Sandra Bullock) won't be deported.

3. Beauty and the Beast

With the live action adaption coming out next month, it would be perfect to watch the original version of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. I mean, who doesn’t want to watch a Disney movie on Valentine’s Day, especially this one.

4. Serendipity

If you believe in fate, then this is a movie for you. Two people meet in a store called Serendipity and then loose track of each other until a few years later, and the rest is sort of history.

5. The Last Song

A girl and a boy fall in love with each other during the summer. And I mean, who doesn't want to experience a summer romance. Also, if you don’t want to watch “The Last Song,” don’t worry there are other Nicholas Sparks movies to choose from.

6. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

If it’s possible for a movie to give you an advice, then you should watch this movie. A magazine journalist was assigned to an article about how to lose a guy in ten days.

7. You’ve Got Mail

This is one of my favorite romance movies, and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t seen it. Two people are pen pals and the movie tells the story of their journey to meet one another.

8. Never Been Kissed

A woman goes undercover to know what high school is like nowadays, but then, she begins to realize that she has feelings for a teacher at the school.

So Ladies! Grab a bowl of popcorn, some of your best friends and binge watch these romance movies this Valentine's Day.

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
