Whether you were born and raised in New Jersey, or yo're just vacationing there for the upcoming summer months, check out these eight places! They are fun, inexpensive, and memory-filled. You won't have a boring summer if you're in New Jersey!

1. Sandy Hook Beach

As a local who only lives about 10-15 minutes away, this beach has to be my number one. There are multiple beaches to choose from. You pay usually by carload, and in the past when I've had a group of three other people with me, it would come out to be $15. Some of the sub-beaches of Sandy Hook are dog friendly, and you won't go hungry! They usually have a few food trucks stop by now and again. The lifeguard staff are great, and they are always very attentive.

2. Point Pleasant Boardwalk -- Jenkinson's

Another great place if you're looking for fun! A beautiful, long boardwalk with a beach to go along with it. The drive to get there isn't difficult, and there's always a place to park. The rides and attractions open at 10 a.m. in the summer, and it's little kid friendly as well. They have a great variety of younger rides and older rides, so anyone from the tender age of three and up can enjoy the fun!

3. Jenkinson's Aquarium

While we're still in Point Pleasant, New Jersey I figured it was a great time to mention that in addition to a beach and boardwalk, they also have an aquarium. You'll find yourself spending a lot of time in the aquarium if you take things slow and soak in the beauty of each creature. They have a great variety of small and large sea creatures. An adult ticket is about $12 while everyone else, including children from three to 12 years old and senior citizens, will run you $7. Not a bad way to spend a rainy day!

4. Six Flags Great Adventure

If you love roller coasters, then you had better not miss out on this great amusement park. Located in Jackson, New Jersey, Six Flags has a handful of roller coasters to choose from, each with a different style and thrill factor built in. Also, if you're a lover of animals, they have a safari section you can check out too! This May, they're debuting a new roller coaster called "The Joker," so definitely make an effort to come out and spend the day at Six Flags.

5. Wildwood

Very popular, especially for teenagers, Wildwood is another boardwalk area with plenty of restaurants and a beach. They have over 100 rides which make up three different amusement park piers. It's always packed with people and there are plenty of hotels, motels or beach houses to stay in.

6. LBI (Long Beach Island)

Long Beach Island is a place for relaxing on the beach, great food, and shopping on the boardwalk. While they also have rides, LBI is best known for their many restaurants and their endless streets full of stores. They have a place for clam chowder, ice cream, fudge, candy... you name it, they have it!

7. New Jersey Mountains

If New Jersey has a hidden treasure, it's our mountains. These beautiful, tree-covered mountains are perfect for hiking on a sunny day.

8. Drive-In Movie

Okay, if that's not the coolest thing on this list to do in New Jersey, I don't know what is. There is a drive-in movie theater located in Vineland, New Jersey called Delsea. They play modern-day movies and always offer the latest of whatever is out in regular theaters. Bringing back the old days is a great way to have fun and this is a great opportunity to gather together a huge group of friends!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
