With Disney Channel being such an influential presence throughout millennials pre-pubescent lives, a significant amount of our exposure to love, relationships and "super cute" boys was due to TV. Watching rock-stars serenade the shy girl or seeing the nerdy boy transform into a hero created this fantasy that when it came to romance, anything was possible. In the 2000's, Disney did a fabulous job of casting a charming boy in nearly every show they produced for our fifth grade selves to fall in love with. Here are the top eight Disney Channel heartthrobs of the 2000's!
1. Jake Ryan from "Hannah Montana."
With his side swept blonde hair and adorable celebrity catchphrase, it was impossible to not be obsessed with this zombie slayer. He stole and broke our hearts at the same time with his on-again off-again relationship with Miley, but we were always rooting for him. Though he turned out to be bad news, he was still great eye-candy for the time being!
2. Phil Diffy from "Phil of the Future."
For being from the year 2121, this cutie really knew how to rock a 21st century girl's world. Though being from the future caused Phil to get caught up in numerous sticky situations, he always handled them with grace and charm. Phil's smile and kindness captivated us all.
3. Ethan Craft from "Lizzie Mcguire."
Though not the brightest blondie, this cutie was the most popular and most crushed on guy at Hillridge Junior High School. We weren't always sure what he was saying, but his genuine sweetness won us over anyway!
4. Zack and Cody Martin from "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody."
This diabolical duo could satisfy anyone's preference, for Zack was the hilarious bad-boy type, while Cody was the intellectual rule follower. Both had distinct ways of wooing the ladies throughout the TV series, which usually involved elaborate scheming. Though mischievous, these two truly had the biggest hearts!
5. Devon Carter from "That's So Raven."
This sweetheart always accepted Raven's eccentric ways and stood by her even through her craziest antics. He was both the best boyfriend and the best big brother, making his caring demeanor hard not to love.
6. The Jonas Brothers from "Jonas."
Though this show was short lived, being able to watch The Jonas Brothers on TV every day was a millennial girls dream come true. Whether you preferred Nick, Joe or Kevin, these lovable guys always rocked out and made us smile!
7. Donnie Stevens from "Even Stevens."
The muscular and popular Donnie was considered a legend at his high school. We particularly loved him for not only did he take great care of his younger siblings, but we considered him to be the sophisticated and attractive counterpart to Louis, who resembled every annoying sixth grade boy in existence.
8. Justin Russo from "Wizards of Waverly Place."
Another instance where Disney enacted a brainy character, Justin was the unique alien-loving wizard of the Russo family. Though a bit strange, he was usually the hero throughout the show, and did so while being pretty darn cute!
Honorable mention: Troy Bolton from "High School Musical."
It's impossible to talk about Disney heartthrobs without mentioning this hottie right here. Though "High School Musical" was not a TV show, it was a monumental Disney movie series that was extremely pertinent to every millennial there is. Troy was that perfect mix of jock and theater kid who had a killer jump-shot but also the voice of an angel. Growing up we were all jealous of Gabriella, and to this day, probably still are!
