For me, plane rides are terrible. And most people would agree. Being stuck on a plane for more than six hours is a tragedy. Because I am one of many people who just can't sleep on planes, I have the luxury of watching hours and hours of movies and television series. So, here are the top 10 best movies and television series when you're stuck on a plane!

1. "Ghostbusters" (2016)

2016 KILLED the movie game, my friends. And I know that this movie received a lot of criticism, but trust me, it's a great movie to watch on a long flight! We see four bada** women catch and fight ghosts, a dancing Chris Hemsworth, and an endless fun time! I definitely recommend watching "Ghostbusters" 2016.

2. "Bridget Jones's Diary" Series

Coming from a female perspective, this movie hits all of the feels. "Bridget Jones's Diary" is a modern twist on the classic story of "Pride and Prejudice." "Bridget Jones's Baby" is the third and last installment, and it's everything we could hope for!

3. "Man Up"

I feel like comedy is always a cure for boredom. This rom-com is a new outlook on love, and targets the deepest fears of singletons. If you like Simon Pegg, then this movie is for you! "Man Up" is extremely funny, and oddly relatable.

4. "The Fundamentals of Caring"

This is definitely a darker movie. But it's still filled with witty sarcasm and never ending surprises! We see the growth of an unlikely friendship, and the development of two deeply broken characters. I didn't know how much I'd enjoy this movie, but it's definitely on my list of favorite movies.

5. "Jessica Jones"

This television series is my all time favorite. It's a very dark, violent and gruesome series, but every episode is extremely captivating. Here we see a broken non-superhero, Jessica Jones, who's past begins to catch up with her. If you're a David Tennant fan, he definitely fits the role as the villain!

6. "Luke Cage (Unbreakable)"

Let me just say that Marvel is killing the television series game! "Jessica Jones" and "Luke Cage" are my two favorite television series in the Marvel universe. "Luke Cage" exposes the gang culture in an African American community. And we see an unbreakable man actually break.

7. "The Magicians"

If you're a lover of magic, then this television series is for you! "The Magicians" is a modern look on the world of magic. Here we see a 21st century college of magic, and follow the story of four students who change history forever. This series makes you believe that magic could possibly exist, and that we can all become magicians!

I definitely recommend watching any or all of these movies and television series if you ever have to fly for over three hours! Most of these picks are on Netflix, which is really handy. I know I don't enjoy flying, and many of you out there probably share the feeling. But with these shows and movies, flying will be a breeze!

Going to the gym and working out on a daily basis (with breaks once in awhile) has been a great way for me to feel good about myself. It is 100% more than just looking good. Especially after starting college and having the stress and anxiety of tests, assignments, and just figuring out my future, the gym at my school has definitely been a place of relief for me and I have numerous reasons of why everyone should push themselves to get to the gym when they can.

It is a time where one day you can feel like you are on top of the world and then the next day you are 500 feet below the ground surface.

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.
