Swamped with papers? Trying to clean your house or dorm room? Yeah, finding the motivation could be really tough sometimes, and of course you have the distractions in between. Well, Spotify or Pandora is about to become your best friend (or even YouTube)! A friend of mine recently taught me the secret of a procrastination-free work zone. Get yourself on any musical platform of your choosing, and search up some film scores. There is a multitude of different film scores out in our world, so here is just a small amount of the best I could find in no particular order that help me.
1. Gone With the Wind by Mac Steiner
Ugh, this movie is a classic of it's time. The soundtrack is incredible too! It lingers in your head and soothes the soul.
2. The Raider's March by John Williams
It's action packed and helps your move fast in whatever you do, while still concentrating.
3. Jurassic Park Theme by John Williams
Another calming, yet worthwhile listen.
4. Star Wars Revenge of the Sith: Anakin vs. Obi Wan: The Great Duel by John Williams
Are you catching on that I'm a John Williams fan yet? He has done so many famous, incredible movies, but this has to be my favorite Star Wars one of his. Filled with action and utter suspense, this score will keep you on your feet!
5. Interstellar by Hans Zimmer
I heard a rumor that this film score makes some people super emotional. What a beautiful melody to relax the mind and help you concentrate!
6. The Fellowship by Howard Shore
With so many movies out, The Lord of the Rings deserves some recognition too!
7. Game of Thrones Theme by Ramin Djawadi
Although not a movie, Game of Thrones has become a dominating TV Series and the music is absolutely beautiful.
There are so many incredible film scores not mentioned here, but these are just some select favorites of mine. A lot of these film scores have helped me get through take-home finals, essays, and cleaning my room. You won't be distracted by the lyrics-- because there are none! But the determination you hear in each one of these film scores could keep you motivated.
